HAMMONTON — Two tree removal applicants appeared before the Hammonton Environmental Commission during their regular meeting on March 8 .

The first application was from Dennis Talavera of 783 Woodlawn Ave . Talavera was seeking approval for lot clearing at 879 7th St . for the construction of a singlefamily dwelling with a driveway and septic system .
While Talavera was in attendance , the application was explained

by James Falisi of James Falisi and Son Building Contractor Inc .
Falisi said that the project was in the beginning stages of approvals .
“ We ’ ve acquired and secured our Pinelands application and approved septic system . We have a
|
well permit being issued from the state now . We ’ re at the point where we ’ re ready to start clearing for construction ,” Falisi said . The lot , Falisi said , is approximately 6.9 acres .
“ We plan on clearing 39,600 square feet for the actual parcel where the property and the house
|
will sit , including septic system , garage and well . The other 14,000 square feet that we would need to clear is the driveway ; it ’ s 20 foot by 700 feet deep ,” Falisi said .
Falisi said that the proposed construction is going to be a threebedroom ,
2,400 square-foot

HAMMONTON — The Hammonton Green Committee held their committee meeting over Zoom on March 6 . The committee discussed the recent lake and community cleanup , Xerces Grant , the Green Market and Green Day Festival . Before the meeting began , Green Committee member Mica McCullough was announced as the new executive director for MainStreet Hammonton .
The committee didn ’ t submit their Sustainable Jersey recertification for the first submission review while the second submission is due on May 12 and the third submission is due July 27 .
Chairperson Amy Menzel said that the committee will continue
with the annual recertification to avoid delaying it and losing credits gained from Sustainable Jersey . Menzel and Dudley Prince
