OBITUARIES Anna Ebinger
Anna ( nee Berenato ) Ebinger , 85 , of Hammonton , died on Monday , March 6 , 2017 , at the Hospital of University of Penn in Philadelphia .
Born in Brooklyn , NY , she was a lifelong resident of Hammonton . Anna was extremely proud of the fact she enrolled in college and graduated after seven years of night school while raising her family . She was passionate about education and loved being a teacher . Before retiring , Mrs . Ebinger worked as a school teacher for Mullica Township School District for more than 25 years , where she taught fourth grade and was an Enrichment Program Teacher . She was a member of the New Jersey Education Association . She was formerly a member of St . Martin DePorres R . C . Church and its Altar and Rosary Society . Currently , she was a member of St . Mary of Mt . Carmel Parish in Hammonton . Anna was an avid card player , and she enjoyed playing cards at the Canoe Club in Hammonton ; she also enjoyed an occasional trip to the casino . She was an avid reader , loved doing the word jumble and all things associated with the stock market . Anna was a very self-driven , independent woman , and she served as a role model to many , and she passed down those qualities to her family . She was also known for her amazing rice pudding .
She was predeceased by her husband , William J . Ebinger ; her sister and dearest friend , Marie Dickinson , and her parents , Joseph and Emma Berenato . She is survived by two devoted daughters , Patricia A . Cafone of Berlin , and Brenda DiVirgilio ( Michael ) of Williamstown ; three loving grandchildren , Alyssa and Kelsey DiVirgilio and Michael Cafone IV ; one brother , Joseph Berenato ( Beverly Wechsler ) of Hammonton , and many nieces , nephews and friends .
Relatives and friends attended a Mass of Christian Burial on Friday , March 10 , 2017 , at St . Mary of Mt . Carmel Parish Church of St . Joseph ’ s , 226 French Street in Hammonton . Burial followed at Greenmount Cemetery in Hammonton .
In lieu of flowers , donations may be made to the Society of St . Vincent de Paul , 226 French Street , Hammonton , NJ 08037 or to the American Red Cross at www . redcross . org .

Josephine Pinto Josephine Pinto , of Hammonton , died on Thursday , March 9 , 2017 , at her residence surrounded by her family .
Josephine was born in Hammonton and graduated from Hammonton High School . Josephine worked for RCA for more than 40 years as an executive secretary . She was an excellent artist , an avid reader and loved to travel though Europe . She was a member of Altar Rosary Society of St . Joseph Church and Hammonton Historical Society .
Josephine was predeceased by her parents , Joseph and Elizabeth Pinto and her sisters , Anna Sooy , Marie Colasurdo and Elizabeth Porter . She is survived by her caregivers – niece , Betty Ann Mitidieri and her husband , Chick and nephew , Warren Sooy and his wife , Carol ; nephew , Kenny Porter and many loving great- nieces and nephews .
Family and friends attended a Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday , March 14 at St . Mary of Mt Carmel Parish- St . Anthony Church Rt . # 206 , Hammonton . Burial was private .

Benigno Mendez Sr ., 70 , of Hammonton , died on Thursday , March 9 , 2017 , at AtlantiCare Medical Center in Galloway Township .
Born in Cidra , Puerto Rico , he lived in Hammonton most of his life . Before retiring , he worked for Johnson Matthey in West Deptford .
He was predeceased by his parents , Emilio Mendez and Julia Figueroa ; one brother , Hector L . Mendez and his father-in-law , Ismael Aponte . He is survived by his wife , Gloria E . ( nee Aponte ) Mendez ; six children , Benigno Mendez Jr . of Hammonton , Evelyn Mendez ( Edwin Morales ) of Hammonton , Angel Mendez ( Denise ) of Waterford Works , Miriam Mendez ( Dave Souza ) of Hammonton , Benny A . Police arrest two on March 6

HAMMONTON — According to Hammonton Police Chief Robert Jones , Hammonton Police Officer Brandan Campbell made two arrests at 11:43 p . m . on March 6 .
Frank Soto , 47 , of Pleasantville , was found to have warrants for his arrest , Jones said .
“ He was walking across the road in the area of Lakeview Drive and Moss Mill Road . He was encountered by Officer Brandan Campbell . Soto proceeded to give him false information . Once his identity was determined , it was discovered he had three outstanding warrants . One was a violation order . The other two were ‘ take into custody ’ warrants from the Ocean County Sheriff ’ s Department ,” Jones said .
Soto was also charged with failure to walk within the crosswalk and was transported to the Atlantic County Jail in lieu of payment of $ 1,000 bail , Jones said .
At the same time and place , Minerva Rivera , 32 , of Hammonton , was also charged with disorderly conduct and failure to walk within the crosswalk , arrested by Campbell and released , Jones said .

Mary Jane Kaiser
Mary Jane Kaiser , 72 , of Folsom , died on Monday , March 6 , 2017 .
She was born in Philadelphia and was a graduate of Penn Treaty High School . She was a member of Folsom Town Council , where she served from 1993- 2003 . She was also employed by WalMart for more than 15 years and prior to that by Jamesway for more than 15 years .
Mary Jane was predeceased by her sons , Joseph and Robert . She is survived by her children , Sandra Kaiser , Dawn Weiss ( Fred Weiss ) and Eric Kaiser ( Carla Kaiser ); her siblings , Tom , David , Billy , Betty and Clara ; her grandchildren , Shannon , Samantha , Austin , Freddy , Connor , Aubree and Greyson , and Joseph Kaiser , the father of her children .
Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday , March 25 at 11 a . m . at Our Lady of the Lakes Church , 19 Malaga Rd . ( Collings Lakes ) Williamstown , NJ . A luncheon will follow the Mass .
