Joe “ Bear ” Bellace , 67 , of Hammonton , died on Sunday , february 18 , 2018 .
Joe was born in Philadelphia and moved to New Jersey more than 50 years ago and attended edgewood Regional High School . He was previously employed by Mit / DaNa transport as a driver and dispatcher . He currently was the Operations Manager for DiMeglio Septic .
Joe was predeceased by his parents , Joseph and Mary Bellace ; and his two sisters , eileen falconi and Jo ann Campbell . He is survived by his wife , Helen ( nee Patton ) Bellace ; his children , Joseph a . Bellace Jr . ( tracy ) of exton , Pa ., and Jennifer Bellace-Valichka ( Dave ) of Swedesboro , NJ . Loving grandfather of Matthew Valichka ; and brother of Carol Cavallaro of Blue anchor , NJ . family and friends attended services on friday , february 23 at the Marinella funeral Home , 102 N . third St ., Hammonton . Margaret M . Tomasello

Margaret M . ( nee Doran ) tomasello , 97 , of Hammonton , died peacefully on february 18 , 2018 . a Philadelphia native , Margaret graduated from Hallahan Catholic High School , Class of 1938 . During War World ii , she worked at General electric building aircraft . in 1946 , she married anthony and moved to Hammonton , where she worked at Suburban Gas and ideal Manufacturing . after retiring from Whitehall Laboratories , she enjoyed spending time with her granddaughters , crocheting , needlepoint and making hook rugs .
She is survived by her husband of 72 years , anthony ; sons , anthony ( Diane ) and Kenneth ( Liz ); granddaughters , Kelly ( Jay ) Celona and Lisa ( Mike ) Maitag ; great-grandchildren , Mandy , Carly , emily and Wyatt ; her brother , Joseph ( Mary ) Doran ; and many nieces and nephews . a Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Saturday , february 24 , 2018 , at St . Mary of Mt . Carmel Parish Church of St . Joseph ’ s , 226 french Street in Hammonton . Burial followed in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Hammonton . in lieu of flowers , donations may be made to the Mt . Lena Massarelli

Lena ( nee Midure ) Massarelli , 89 , died peacefully at home on thursday , february 22 , 2018 , with her family by her side .
Lena was born and raised in Waterford , New Jersey . She worked for many of the Hammonton clothing factories until her , and her husband , Harry , opened Harry ’ s farm Market and Garden Center in Mullica township and later Galloway township . they worked side by side for more than 40 years . She was hard working and devoted to her family , always finding time to make the best homemade ravioli dinners .
She was predeceased by her parents , Domenica and Joseph Midure ; and brothers and sisters , austin Midure , Josephine Midili , Carmen Midure , anthony Midure , francis Natalie , Millie Crusco and Lucy Barbatto . She is survived by her loving husband of 68 years , Harry ; her children , John Massarelli ( Joanna ), Mario Massarelli ( Christine ) and Mary ann Petruzzi ( Louie ); her four grandchildren , Leanna fitchetola ( Rocco ), angela Umosella ( Jeff ), Nola Massarelli and Mario Massarelli Jr .; and her brother , Robert Midure ( Nancy ). Oliva Rodriguez , 85 , of Hammonton , died on Wednesday , february 21 , 2018 , at the Hammonton Center .
Born in Santo Domingo , Dominican Republic , she lived in Hammonton for 13 years . She was a former seamstress in Brooklyn , New York .
Mrs . Rodriguez is survived by her four daughters , Jeannie Valentin , Yvonne Rodriguez , erica Rodriguez and Maria Rodriguez ; 38 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren . funeral Services were held Monday , february 26 , 2018 , at the Carnesale funeral Home , 202 S . third St ., Hammonton . Raymond f . Canfield , 76 , of Hammonton and formerly of Philadelphia , died peacefully with his family by his side on february 22 , 2018 .
He served in the U . S . army . He was also the past president of the Hammonton Lions Club .
He was predeceased by his son , Raymond ; and his brothers , thomas and William . Ray is survived by his loving wife , Phyllis ( amedio ); his children , Jodi Day ( Shamus ) and Michael Canfield ( Holly ). June Elma ( James ) Myers

June elma ( James ) Myers , affectionately known as “ June Bug ,” 86 , of Hammonton , died on Wednesday morning , february 21 , 2018 .
Born and raised in Millville to the late Howard and emma ( Risley ) James , June attended Millville Public Schools . She married her husband , Herbert , and then moved to Hammonton . they shared more than 66 years of marriage together .
June built her life around her family and friends . Her caring and concern was genuine , boundless and unwavering . She derived great satisfaction from being able to care for others . She loved to roller skate and dance . Music was the fabric of her life with a particular fondness for elvis . She enjoyed crafts , flowers , storytelling , but more than anything she treasured time with her family .
She was predeceased by many beloved brothers . June is survived by her husband , Herbert Myers Sr . of Hammonton ; son , Herbert Myers Jr . and wife , Renee of Hammonton ; daughter , Margaret Golway and husband , Bruce of Vineland ; one brother , Jack James and wife , Doris of Heislerville ; three grandchildren , Jenifer Robin and husband , Jän , Matthew Golway and wife , Cindy , and Joshua Golway ; four great-grandchildren , Julian Robin , Vienna Robin , Rory Golway , and Mackenzie Golway . a funeral Service for June was conducted on tuesday , february 27 , 2018 , in the Christy funeral Home , 11 W . Joan C . ( nee Hackett ) Boehly , 83 , died on Saturday , february 24 , 2018 , at Virtua Hospital in Voorhees .
She was born in Linwood and graduated from Pleasantville High School in 1952 . Joan worked as a recreational assistant at ancora State Hospital for more than 33 years , retiring in1994 .
She was predeceased by her parents , Ralph and Marie Hackett ; sisters , eileen Wallace and Marie Wilson ; and brother , Ralph Hackett iii . She is survived by her loving husband , Bruce Boehly ; her daughter , Cheryl L . C . “ Chuck ” Hannold iii and ReSound New Jersey Regional Sales Manager Kimberly White educated the public about the issue of hearing loss and how to manage it during a Lunch and Learn presentation at Stockton University ’ s Kramer Hall on february 21 . the presentation , titled “ Rediscover Sound : Understanding and Overcoming Hearing Loss ,” explored the factors that cause hearing loss and the options available to those dealing with the affliction of hearing loss that impacts one in three americans older than 65 . although hearing loss is permanent and usually cannot be corrected surgically or medically , White said hearing aid technology has progressed significantly over time and can help restore the quality of life for those having trouble See HEARING , Page 17

Elizabeth Brimfield Watt

elizabeth Brimfield Watt , 102 , died on february 21 , 2018 , at the fountains in atco .
She was the daughter of the late William and ella ( Russell ) Brimfield . She was a graduate of Hammonton High School and Maryville College , a Presbyterian College at Maryville tennessee and was a teacher for more than 25 years . in 1942 , she married J . Robert Watt , a student at Princeton theological Seminary whom she had met at college . they were married 60 years , the Rev . J Robert Watt died in 2002 . During their years in the ministry , she served as a Sunday school teacher , a deacon and was involved in Women ’ s Work . for a number of years , she was a volunteer patient advocate at Kessler Hospital in Hammonton . She was a member of the Hammonton Presbyterian Church . She grew up in Hammonton and returned to live here in 1975 and lived in her childhood home until 2000 . She moved to the fountains at Cedar Parke in 2000 where she enjoyed living until her death .
She is survived by a son , Stephen R . Watt ( Connie ) of todd , N . C .; and a daughter , Nancy W . Cucciniello ( Sam ) of Hammonton ; three grandchildren , S . Robert Watt ( angela ) of Winston-Salem , NC , Christopher W . Cucciniello ( Lauren ) of Vineland , NJ , and Stephanie C . Madaris ( tracy ) of albertville , ala .; a nephew , William W . Brimfield of Manchester , Pa ., and 11 great-grandchildren . a memorial service will be held at the Presbyterian Church at Hammonton , 326 Bellevue ave ., Hammonton , NJ 08037 at a later date . in lieu of flowers , contributions may be made to the church . arrangements made by the Marinella funeral Home .
