along with council members edward Wuillermin, Michael Pullia,
Sam Rodio and Steven furgione
were at the meeting, as Wuillermin, Pullia and Rodio are a part of
the PWtC/WS committee. Robert
Vettese of aRH, town accountant
frank zuber and public works department head Scott Rivera provided reports during the meeting
as well.
During Vettese’s engineer discussion items, he talked about
some of the latest news surrounding the Lincoln Street Remediation project site. aRH was given
plans and specifications for the
project by South Jersey Gas. as
revealed publicly three weeks ago,
the project is tentatively expected
to begin in January 2016.
“they are not really detailed because we are leaving a lot up to
the separate remediation contractor to come up with means and
methods. But i went through the
plans that they did give us. i
wanted to go over the plans. the
traffic and control plan is really
the [police] chief [Robert Jones’]
responsibility; associated with
how he is detouring traffic…
there will be a spray and mist
system. also the trucks that will
leave the site they will be sprayed
down for decontamination. We
want to know how that is going to
be collected and disposed of.
those are questions we have on
that particular aspect. the pipes
that they show along Lincoln
Street and some other locations
are the storm sewer, the sanitary
sewer and the water main. they
really don’t say the type of pipe or
the size the pipe. the contractors
want to know what is out there
