Marilyn B . Goldman , 63 , of Hammonton , died peacefully on Friday , February 10 , 2017 , at Samaritan Hospice Center in Voorhees .
She was predeceased by her mother and father , Gertrude and Anthony Chiantella ; a brother , John and a sister , Trudy Chiantella . Marilyn is survived by her daughter , Amanda Kelly ( Joe ) and grandchildren , Joseph and Elizabeth Kelly all of Annapolis , Md .; her siblings , Noel Chiantella ( Eileen ) of Florida , Carolyn Chiantella of New Market , Md ., Jean Sims ( Matthew ) of Silver Spring , Md ., Gloria Chiantella ( Chuck Luedke ) of Clarksville , Md ., Anthony Chiantella ( Mary Jane ) of Gaithersburg , Md ., Midge Junghans ( Jeff ) of Venice , Fla ., Chrissy Davis ( Tucker ) of Lutherville , Md ., and many nieces and nephews .
Relatives and friends attended a Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday , February 15 , 2017 , at St . Patrick ’ s Catholic Church of Rockville , Md . Burial was at Gate of Heaven Cemetery , Silver Spring , Md .
Memorial contributions may be made to Samaritan Hospice Center Voorhees : 265 Route 73 South , Voorhees , NJ 08043 .

Jacquelyn Sue Eby

Jacquelyn Sue ( nee Cahill ) Eby , 58 , of Collings Lakes , died on Sunday , February 12 , 2017 , at home .
Born in Philadelphia , Pa ., she was a lifelong resident of South Jersey . She had worked at Harrah ’ s Casino in Atlantic City , Buena Regional High School and Presswell Records .
She is survived by her husband , Joseph J . Eby ; one son , Joseph D . Eby ; one brother , Jimmy Cahill ( Erika ); two sisters , Carol Deyhle ( John ) and Lisa Bruno ; two grandchildren , Kara and Kaelin ; one-great grandchild , Lilah ; her mother-in-law , Kathleen Eby ; and brother-in-law , Ed Eby ( Patty ).
Relatives and friends attended funeral services on Friday , February 17 , 2017 , at the Carnesale Funeral Home , 202 S . Third Street in Hammonton . Interment will be private .
In lieu of flowers , donations may be made to the Hammonton Cancer Foundation , PO Box 1066 , Hammonton , NJ 08037 .

Alison S . Fiocchi

Alison S . Fiocchi , 66 , of Sweetwater , died on Thursday , February 16 at the Virtua-Memorial Hospital in Mt . Holly .
Born and formerly of Fullerton , Pa ., Alison has resided in Sweetwater since 1975 . Prior to retirement , she worked as a bookkeeper for Alison Company in Richland . She enjoyed painting and her dogs , especially her Yorkshire terrier “ Merlin .”
She is survived by her daughter , Amadei S . Mueller and her husband , Josh of Suger Hill ,
Ga .; a brother , Lee Pursglove , and a sister , April Edgington both of Dunedin , Fla . At the request of the family , services will be private . Arrangements made by the Landolfi Funeral Home .

Man arrested for drugs

HAMMONTON — Police arrested a man for drug possession at 11:07 p . m . on February 18 , Hammonton Police Lt . Kevin Friel said .
According to Friel , an officer on patrol noticed a suspicious vehicle parked on the side of a building on the 100 block of S .

One of the two subjects in the vehicle was found to be in possession of marijuana and two glass smoking pipes , Friel said .
Perry Melker , 21 , of Hammonton , was charged with the possession , processed and released pending a court date in Hammonton Municipal Court , Friel said .
Officer John Amendolia III was the arresting officer , Friel said .

“ The police department wants to remind residents to lock your vehicles when you aren ’ t with them , even when they are in your own driveway . Also , we ask that people avoid leaving valuables in the car , or at least not leave them in plain sight . We also request the assistance of the community in notifying the police department when there are suspicious people in their neighborhoods ,” Friel said .
Here are the incidents police investigated during the theft spree in chronological order of when they were reported to police , according to Friel :
• On February 18 , police were called at 7:07 a . m . about a theft on the 500 block of Walnut Street .
Friel said a resident reported that between the evening hours of February 17 and the morning hours of February 18 both vehicles parked in the driveway had been “ rummaged through .”
The owner was unable to discern if anything had been taken from the vehicles , Friel said . Officer William Kurz was the investigating officer , Friel said .
• On February 18 at 7:44 a . m ., police were called to the 500 block of 13th Street .
Friel said between the evening hours of 6 p . m . on February 17 into the morning hours of February 18 an unknown person gained access to the resident ’ s vehicle , which was parked in his driveway , and stole change from the console within , Friel said .
Friel said Kurz was the investigating officer .
• On February 18 at 8:30 a . m ., police were called to the 500 block of West Pleasant Street and were told that a theft occurred from a vehicle parked between the evening hours of February 17 and 7 a . m . on February 18 , Friel said .
“ A Galaxy 3 Samsung cell phone and a personal checkbook were both taken from the vehicle ,” Friel said .
Friel said he was the investigating officer .
• On February 18 at 10:15 a . m ., police were called to the 300 block of Walnut Street .
“ There was a shed that was broken into between 8 p . m . on February 17 and 10 a . m . on February 18 . There was lawn maintenance equipment , including a weed whacker , hand tools , power tools , a chainsaw , an air compressor and other equipment taken ,” Friel said .
The resident noticed the lock was pried off the shed and the items were missing , Friel said .
Kurz was the investigating officer , Friel said .
• On February 18 at 10:56 a . m ., police were called to the 900 block of N . Third Street .
“ The caller stated that he parked his vehicle at 7 p . m . on February 17 , and when he returned to it at 9 a . m . on February 18 , he found the center console was open , and his wallet , containing his driver ’ s license and $ 40 in cash was taken ,” Friel said .
Cpl . James Pinto was the investigating officer , Friel said .
• On February 18 at 12:02 p . m ., police were called to Rachel Court .
“ A resident parked his vehicle around 11 p . m . on February 17 . When he went back to his vehicle

Friel warns public of local theft spree

at noon on February 18 , he found that the center console of his vehicle was open and a wallet , along with change were missing . He also noticed that another vehicle in the driveway had its console open and change removed ,” Friel said .

• On February 18 at 3:56 p . m ., police were called to the 100 block of N . Second Street by a resident .
“ Unknown subject or subjects entered his garage through a side window , removing a chainsaw valued at approximately $ 300 ,” Friel said .
Friel said Pinto was the investigating officer .
• On February 19 at 1:51 p . m ., police were called to the 100 block of E . 15th Street .
“ There was a theft of an iPod from an unlocked vehicle parked at a residence ,” Friel said . Pinto was the investigating officer , Friel said .

Burglary on Pine Road

HAMMONTON — Police are investigating a burglary that was reported at 11:48 a . m . on February 19 , Hammonton Police Lt . Kevin Friel said .
“ The homeowner went to unlock the front door , but the door was already ajar while still locked . Items within the residence were searched through , and two holes were punched in a wall in the living room ,” Friel said .
Anyone with information about the burglary should contact the Hammonton Police Department at 561-4000 , Friel said .
