Charles Conaty , of aiken , SC , formerly of Hammonton , died on friday , february 9 , 2018 . father Charles served the Camden Diocese in the capacity of teacher , president and campus minister of St . Joseph ’ s High School ; he served as vice principal of Wildwood Catholic . father Charles also served as Parochial Vicar at St . Martin de Porres , St . edward , Pine Hill , St . Mary ’ s , Williamstown , and Our Lady of Mt . Carmel , Berlin . father Charles served as Pastor of St . Matthew ’ s in National Park and was a graduate of Christ the King Seminary in aurora , NY . father Charles will be remembered as a loving son , brother , uncle and friend to many , who was truly loved by all who knew him . He was a humble servant to the communities he was blessed to serve and share the Word of God . father Charles loved to travel and explore the beauty of various cultures and faiths that God created around the world and passed that passion on to many .

Jean M . ( nee Sabatini ) Bertino , 79 , of Hammonton , died on february 15 , 2018 , at Seashore Gardens , Galloway . a lifelong resident of Hammonton , Mrs . Bertino was born april 4 , 1938 . Jean graduated from Hammonton High School in 1956 . She was a bright student , voted most likely to succeed and a talented accordion player . She married anthony John Bertino in 1957 , a budding farmer , and together they built a prosperous blueberry packing business , Bertino Bros . Inc . While anthony tended to the growing and harvesting of the crops , Jean managed the office . Barely five feet tall , she was a strong , “ take charge ” woman . Jean loved the beach and spent many winters in Hollywood , fla . Summers at her Ocean City home were her favorite , where she enjoyed reading under the awning of her front deck and watching the ocean . She loved to dance and was one of the first on the dance floor at family events . She was fond of shopping and lunches with her former classmates and coffee klatch . She was a good friend to all . Jean was a longtime parishioner of St . anthony of Padua Church in Hammonton and a member of the rosary Society .

She was predeceased by her loving husband of 50 years , anthony ; her parents , ronald and Bertha Sabatini , also of Hammonton ; and her son-in-law , richard Bourguignon . She is survived by her three daughters , Linda Jean Bertino of Mullica twp ., Joanne adams ( David ) of Mays Landing and Sandra Bourguignon of Galloway ; her sister , Joann Sabatini of Hammonton ; and her brother , ronald Sabatini ( Phyllis ) of Berlin ; five grandchildren , erik Schroder , Cameron adams , Hayley adams , Kelsie Grover and Lucas adams . a viewing will be held today , Wednesday , february 21 , 2018 from 10 a . m . – 11 a . m . at St . Joseph was born and raised in Hammonton . He started working on the family farm at an early age . He owned and operated Pino ’ s taxi from 1960 until 1998 and also drove a school bus for the Hammonton Board of education for 21 years . He loved playing Pinochle at the Hammonton Senior Center .

Vincent Pallotti Council Ladies auxiliary , South Jersey Pops Orchestra where she played flute and she was a board member for St . CHICKEN THIGHS : 1 29 LB . the lack of enforcement of the ordinance , which regulates the removal of trees in four categories : street trees , town trees , trees on developed lots and trees on undeveloped lots . a permit is required to remove any of these types of trees , except trees under the jurisdiction of the town .

“ enforcement of the tree ordinance is a nightmare . every time I ’ m in my home or in my car and I hear a chainsaw running , my blood pressure starts to go up and the problem is ‘ What do you do ? Who do you call ?’” Hozik said .

Hozik said town construction official frank Domenico is responsible for ensuring that homeowners have permits for trees being removed , but many times , residents will strategically have trees taken down on the weekend to avoid the ordinance . In order to improve ordinance compliance , Hozik suggested that tree service companies performing removals should be subject to the same penalties as homeowners . the current penalties for violation of the ordinance may include any combination of the following :
