received praise for the way they ’ ve been able to traverse through the forests without any incident , including from the previous N . J . state police chief .
“ They had told us that since our club ’ s birth and the way that we run things and come through , they ’ ve had less occurrences of improper uses of the forests and people staying in legal areas ,” Steve said .
The Cawleys talked more about their mission and initiative as well as the events and programs that the club has held . They want to have the Green Committee involved and provide support for their club . Their missions and initiatives have raised money and support for veterans and reach out to organizations to help raise money to fund their purposes . The club is hosting an event on May 20 at the Kathedral Event Center and would love for the Green Committee to volunteer and show support .

“ This is one of the newer programs for home weatherization , they ’ ve had different iterations of it throughout the years but this is targeting modern income customers and it helps with the insulation and air ceiling and the shell of the home . This program also includes a safety test with your combustion and appliances to make sure you ’ re breathing some clear air in your house because before we air seal the house , that air can escape easily ,” Hatch said .
Committee member Kathia Ramirez talked about the Hammonton Health Coalition as part of their community partnerships . The purpose of the coalition is to target the Latino community and how they can make Hammonton ’ s resources accessible to the Latino community but have recently undergone a transition phase in order to avoid confusion with the
Allies in Caring , according to Ramirez . The members include Allies in Caring , Noyes Museum of Art at Stockton University , MainStreet Hammonton and others , they are affiliated with ARH Associates and are partnered with the Hammonton Public Schools . The projects they are working on are Hispanic Heritage Month celebration and adding Latino leadership scholarships but are looking to add others to help diversify as part of their transition phase . The coalition will meet every fourth Wednesday of every month .
The committee ’ s lake / community cleanup will be on March 4 at 9 a . m . and are currently working on areas across town to target cleaning . The Sustainable Jersey Hub will be on Feb . 23 at 6 p . m . at the Ocean City Library and the purpose is to help prepare and find grants . The Atlantic County Masters Composters will have classes start at Feb . 22 , according to the agenda .
The meeting then concluded with discussion about this year ’ s upcoming Green Day Festival , with a possible targeted date on Nov . 4 with a rain date on Nov . 5 . The location will be held on Second and Vine Streets , the same location as the previous year ’ s event , pending clarification with the town .
