Stella E . Penza
Stella E . Penza ( nee Giralo ), age 88 of Hammonton , passed away peacefully Wednesday February 8 , 2023 at her home with her family and friends by her side .
Stella was born and raised in Hammonton and graduated from Hammonton High School in 1952 .
She was a woman of her faith , and a devout Catholic who served as a member of the Altar Rosary Society and volunteered for other committees at St . Mary of Mt . Carmel Church for many years . She also devoted much of her time doing volunteer work and serving on the auxiliary board at William B . Kessler Hospital . She enjoyed knitting , baking and the challenge of putting puzzles together with her best friend . She was always ready to meet up with her friends or family for a meal and never showed up empty handed . Always wanted to share a home made dessert or appetizer . She thoroughly enjoyed her independent living and her family and friends will miss her eagerness to socialize with them .
Stella is predeceased by her husband , Robert C . Penza , parents , Joseph and Elizabeth Caruso Giralo and her twin brother , Anthony Giralo .
Surviving are her two daughters , Sharon Reustle and her husband Albert of Hammonton and Sandra Greenbaum and her husband , m Ron of Marlton . She will be sadly missed by her grandsons , David and Robert and great-grandchildren , Caleb , Mackenzie and Logan .
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday February 17 , 2023 at 11 a . m . at St . Mary of Mt . Carmel Parish , St . Joseph Church , Third & French Streets , Hammonton . It will be preceded by a visitation from 9:30 a . m . 11 a . m . Burial will be private .

Lucy A . Chiumento
Lucy A . Chiumento ( nee Andronico ), 91 , of Winslow Twp ., N . J . passed away Monday , February 6 , 2023 . She was born and raised in Hammonton , N . J . and Co-Owned , with her late husband Anthony , the Elm Dress Manufacturing Company for over 25 years . Lucy enjoyed going to the casinos but mostly spending time with her family .
She is predeceased by her husband , Anthony N . Chiumento , Sr .; her daughter , Bernadette A . Chiumento ; parents , Ralph and Lucy Andronico ; brother , Charles Andronico and his wife Marie ; and sister , Rita Silipeno and her husband Edwin . Lucy is survived by her two sons , Anthony N . Chiumento , Jr . and his wife Barbara and John Chiumento . Loving grandmother , of Christopher Zusin ( Cortney ) and Michael Chiumento ( Chris ); great grandmother , of Caden Zusin . She will be missed by her adopted niece and caretaker Kimberly Rowan and many nieces and nephews .

Catherine D . Richards
Catherine D . Richards , 81 , of Glenolden , Pa ., passed away Tuesday , February 7 , 2023 in Taylor Hospital in Ridley Park .
Born in Philadelphia , she was a lifelong area resident . Catherine was a legal secretary in the Public Defender ' s Office in Delaware County , Pa . from 2001 until her retirement in 2019 . She was a graduate of Notre Dame High School in Moylan , Pa . Catherine was a longtime member of Our Lady of Fatima RC Church , she was also a member of the American Cancer Society .
She was predeceased by her parents , Joseph and Dorothy ( nee Doyle ) Regan and her sister , Jean Loftus and brother-in-law Thomas Loftus .
Catherine is survived by her niece and goddaughter , Kathy Mento , her husband , Sam and their children , Sarah and Sam ; her nephew , Tom Loftus and his wife , Traci and their children , Ryan , TJ and Megan and her niece ,
Jeanne DeNucci .

Cheryl L . Boehly , 68 , of Blue Anchor , N . J . passed away peacefully Monday , February 6 , 2023 . Cheryl was a nurse for Jefferson Hospital in Stratford for many years where she also ran many seminars and classes for fellow nurses .
Cheryl is pre-deceased by her parents , Ambrose “ Bruce ” and Joan Boehly . She is survived by her loving daughter , Amy Boehly .

Thomas C . Pitale
Thomas C . Pitale , 93 , of Hammonton , N . J . passed away Tuesday February 7 , 2023 at Virtua Hospital in Voorhees , N . J . Tom was born and raised in Hammonton and graduated from Hammonton High School in 1947 . He went on to serve for 13 years in the Army National Guard from 1948 – 1961 . He worked as a mechanic for Owens Corning in Berlin , N . J . for 35 years and retired in 1986 . He also worked for Ancora State Hospital for six years , Marinella Funeral Home and Bruno ’ s Auto Parts in Hammonton . He was a longtime member of the Inskip Antlers Gun Club .
Tom is predeceased by his parents , Thomas and Artelia Pitale ; his brother , Anthony Pitale ; brother-in-law , Peter Lancetta ; and sisters in law , Sandy Giacobbe and Regina Pagano . He is survived by his loving wife of 70 years , Victoria Pitale ( nee Lancetta ); Brothers in Law , Carmen Lancetta ( Jean ) and Anthony Giacobbe ; and sister in-laws , Rita Lancetta and Marion Pitale . He will be missed by many nieces and nephews .
Family and friends were invited to attend his viewing Saturday February 11 , 2023 from 9 a . m . – 11 a . m . at the Marinella Funeral Home 102 N . Third St . Hammonton , N . J . Arrested
POLICE , from Page 1 screaming at the persons in the residence , Friel said .
The complainant explained that Henry exposed her chest , and while speaking to Henry , Scola observed she was under the influence of a controlled dangerous substance , as she was unable to answer questions and was acting in a tumultuous manner , Friel said .
She was placed under arrest for disorderly conduct and lewdness , transported to police headquarters for processing and was turned over to EMS for intervention , Friel said .
Friel said Scola was the investigating and charging officer .
This report is comprised of arrests and investigations made by the men and women of local enforcement . All suspects and arrested are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law .
Denise A . Rapanaro
Denise A . Rapanaro ( Perna ), 79 , of Hammonton , went home to be with the Lord on Sunday , February 12 , 2023 after a battle with lung cancer . She passed away peacefully with her family by her side while listening to the song , “’ Tis So Sweet to Trust in Jesus .”
A graduate of Hammonton High School ( class of 1961 ), Denise held many hats throughout her life , including working as a medical technical assistant , a medical secretary , a lab assistant , a real estate agent , and a hairdresser at Alice ’ s Beauty Salon ( owned by her mother ) in Hammonton . Most notably , she served as the primary caregiver for her mother until her passing in 2007 .
From the Dollar Tree employees , to her mechanic , to her family , everyone knew Denise as a kind-hearted woman . Denise enjoyed capturing moments with photos ; making pizzelles during the holidays for family and friends ; making daily trips to ShopRite , Goodwill , and the Dollar Tree ; visiting or calling family every day ; and sending cards to loved ones on all occasions to let them know she was thinking of them .
Denise was predeceased by her parents , Thomas and Alice ( nee DeLosso ) Perna and former husband Mario Rapanaro . She is survived by her five siblings , Shirley Passalacqua , Patricia Petersen ( Ken ), Alice Boyd , Beverly Quinn ( Pat ), and Thomas Perna , Jr .; many nieces and nephews , whom she loved as if they were her own children ; cousins ; and friends .
A celebration of life memorial service will be held at Victory Bible Church in Hammonton , NJ on Thursday , February 16 , at 11 a . m . Burial will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery . In lieu of flowers , donations may be sent to The Samaritan Center at Voorhees .
