Macrie IV GAZETTE STAFF WRITER HAMMONTON—Hammonton resident Brian Howell has been suffering from chronic kidney disease since the early 1980s. It is a disease that affects one in nine Americans and more than 12,000 New Jersey residents. It is a progressive illness that eventually requires an individual to receive life- sustaining dialysis treatment, anywhere from 12 to 15 hours per week and usually during the daytime hours. However, a new overnight kidney dialysis treatment program has allowed patients such as Howell to be able to keep working in a full-time capacity. He is a partner at the law firm Howell and Bertman on the corner of Horton Street and Bellevue Avenue, and has served as the town of Hammonton’s solicitor for more than St. Joe celebrates with ‘Red & White’ by Paul J.
