Marie E. Mango
Marie e. Mango, 89, of Hammonton died peacefully on January 31.
Born and raised in Hammonton, she graduated from Hammonton
High School then received her Bachelor’s Degree from immaculata Col-
lege. Mango worked for Sears roebuck in Hammonton before following
her true vocation as a teacher, and she taught elementary school at the
Burlington County School System until retiring to care for her parents.
She was a member of the altar rosary Society, Catholic Daughters of
america # 1680, Soroptimist international of Hammonton, the red Hats
and would volunteer at the Hammonton Library teaching people to read
along with supporting the red Cross on Blood Drives.
She is predeceased by her parents, Paul and anna Macrie; husband,
Frank P. Mango and brother, Peter Macrie; as well as her sisters-in-law, Helen and Joan
Macrie and niece, elizabeth Macrie. She was a dear sister of Paul “Ginger” Macrie of Ham-
monton, and a loving aunt of Bernadette (Sam) rodio, Peter (toni) Macrie, Paul (Beth)
Macrie, Nicholas (Dorothy) Macrie, Cheryl (Jerry) O’Brien, Michael (Christine) Macrie;
as well as Judy Mango and Jim Mango of Scotia, N.Y. She will also be missed by great-
nieces, great-nephews, cousins and her many friends.
Family and friends are invited to attend her visitation on Saturday, February 9 from
10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Parish — St. anthony of Padua Church,
285 rt. 206, Hammonton. a Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. entomb-

Samuel J. Ricca
Samuel J. ricca, 99, of Hammonton, died peacefully at his home on
Friday, February 1, 2019.
Born and raised in Hammonton, he graduated from Hammonton High
School then went on to receive his Bachelor’s Degree from Duke Uni-
versity. a veteran of the United States Navy, ricca served his country
during WWii. He was the business manager for ancora State Hospital
for many years until retiring in 1989.
ricca is predeceased by his parents, antonio and Nellie ricca;
brother, anthony ricca and sister, Lillian Cienki. He is survived by his
wife, rita B. ricca (nee Bertino). He was a loving uncle of Betty Nelle
ricca, edward Cienki, audry Cienki, terri Sliwecki, Lisa raso, Lori
Bertino, Bunni alessandrini, James W. Ford, Sr. and Brian Ford; and brother-in-law of
Nancy Bertino. He will also be missed by great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins and his
many friends.

Dorothy L. “Dottie” Domenico
Dorothy L. “Dottie” Domenico (nee Bottino), 88, of Hammonton died
on Saturday, February 2, 2019 at atlantiCare Medical surrounded by her
loving family.
Born and raised in Waterford, Domenico worked as a seamstress and
a child caregiver. When she wasn’t cooking for her family, she enjoyed
participating in a bowling league. She was dedicated to the Blessed
Mother and prayed the rosary every day.
Domenico is predeceased by her parents, Dominic and Carmella Bot-
tino; her son, Frank J. Domenico, Jr. and her eight brothers and sisters.
Surviving are her loving husband, Frank L. Domenico, Sr.; her daughter,
Carmella Bencivenga and her husband, Ben of Galloway and daughter-
in-law, Judith Domenico of Hammonton. She was a loving grandmother of Bianca Her-
rmann (Mark), april tabachri (Sharbel), Krista Bencivenga (Jameson romano), tara and
Luke Bencivenga. She was a great-grandmother of Cole, reese, Kent and Fawn Herrmann
and rylan romano.
Family and friends are invited to attend her viewing today, Wednesday, February 6 from
7 p.m. to 9 p.m. and thursday, February 7 from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at the Marinella
Funeral Home, 102 N. third St., Hammonton. a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated
thursday, February 7 at 11 a.m. at St. Mary of Mt. Carmel (St. Joseph Church) third &

DWI arrests by Hammonton Police

HaMMONtON—Police made
several driving while under the in-
fluence (DWi) arrests last month,
including the following, Hammon-
ton Police Lt. Kevin Friel said.
• On January 21 at 5:34 p.m., at
the intersection of Valley and
Bellevue avenues, Jeffrey Berry,
64, of Ocean City was stopped by
Class ii Officer travis Hoffman,
who was dispatched to the area in
reference to an erratic driver, Friel
said.
He observed a black in color
MB that crossed over the center
line twice, Friel said.
Hoffman stopped the vehicle on
Fourth Street and it came to a
complete stop at Valley avenue,
Friel said.
Hoffman found that the subject
was under the influence of med-
ications and he was issued the fol-
lowing motor summonses: driving
while under the influence of nar-
cotics (DWi), reckless driving,
Deborah Ardente
Deborah ardente (nee McCabe), 66, of Mullica twp. died suddenly
on January 28, 2019 at atlantiCare Medical Center in Galloway twp.
Born in atlantic City, ardente graduated from Holy Spirit High
School in 1970 and went on to work in the Payroll Department for at-
lantiCare in the Hammonton, atlantic City and Galloway branches for
more than 42 years before retiring in 2012. She loved to travel and spend
time with her family. She had a passion for butterflies, and the sight of
one would bring a smile to her face.
She is predeceased by her parents, Joseph and Barbara McCabe and
her brother, Joey McCabe. Surviving are her husband, Kenneth ardente;
her daughter, Kelly Ditzel and her daughter’s husband, Brian of Mullica
twp. She was a dear sister to thomas McCabe (Carrie), Mary rice, Barbie McCabe, Peter
McCabe (irma), Patricia Corbin and William McCabe. Her grandchildren, Dylan and abby
Ditzel, were the loves of her life. She will be missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins
and friends.
Family and friends are invited to attend her visitation on Saturday, February 9 from
11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., with services at 12:30 p.m., at the Marinella Funeral Home, 102
N. third St., Hammonton. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. in lieu of flowers,

Albert Charles Valentino
albert Charles Valentino, Sr., 89, of elm, died on Saturday, February
2, 2019 at atlantiCare Medical Center in Galloway twp.
Born in Hammonton, he was a lifelong area resident. Valentino started
selling ice cream in front of his father’s gas station as a little boy. He
joined the army and served in the Korean War. after being discharged,
he opened the Lakeshore Drive Sinclair Service Station and later Val-
ley’s Pike Service Station from 1966 to 1994. He also worked for arch-
way Cookies, eastern Brewery Company and ancora State Hospital. He
was a member of State of NJ Civil Defense and Disaster Control.
He is predeceased by his parents, Frank and Lettia Valentino; his wife,
Margaret “Peggy” Valentino and sister, rita Valentino Stafford. Surviv-
ing are his two sons, albert C. Valentino, Jr. and his wife Kathleen of Braddock, and Ken-
neth Valentino of elm and brother, edward Valentino of Somers Point. He was a loving
grandfather of angelic Bridge and Sandra Casario, and great-grandfather of tegan Bridge,
tatum Bridge and Luke Casario.
Family and friends are invited to attend his viewing on Friday, February 8 at 9:30 a.m.

have three outstanding warrants
from Lumberton twp., Wildwood
and Deptford twp. totaling an
amount of $1,541, Friel said. He
was processed, released on those
warrants pending a court date in
those respective municipalities
and released per John’s Law, Friel
said.
• On January 21 at 8:51 p.m., on
the 600 block of Pleasant Mills
road, a motor vehicle accident oc-
curred, Friel said.
“a vehicle was traveling south
on Pleasant Mills road, crossed
the center line, ran off the roadway
to the left, struck a guard rail and
wound up on the front lawn of a
resident of the 600 block of Pleas-
ant Mills road,” Friel said.
Nancy Sochocky, 55, of Ham-
monton was found to be operating
the vehicle under the influence,
was processed and charged with
the following: driving while under
the influence of alcohol, refusal to
submit to breath testing, reckless
driving, failure to maintain lane
and careless driving, Friel said.
Friel said Sochocky was re-
leased in accordance with John’s
Law pending an appearance in
Hammonton Joint Municipal
Court. Officer Gordon ellis iii
was the arresting officer, Friel
said.
after her arrest, Sochocky re-
fused to leave the police depart-
ment with the person who signed
her out and she was found on Vine
Street following her release by K-
9 Officer robert zbikowski, Friel
said.
“She was escorted back to the
vehicle of the person who was
signing her out. She became com-
bative and struck the officer in the
face. She was then arrested again
for disorderly conduct, aggravated
assault and resisting arrest. She
was again held until sober as per
John’s Law,” Friel said.
zbikowski was the arresting of-
ficer for the second arrest of So-
chocky, which took place at 10:36
p.m. on January 21, Friel said.
