man before the board selected their leader for 2016.
Prior to appointments being made, Gribbin said some
kind words about former zoning board solicitor and
current town council solicitor Michael Malinksy.
“He [Malinksy] wanted me to relay to all of the
board members that is was his honor and privilege to
serve as solicitor of the zoning board over the last
several years. as i spoke on behalf of the planning
board, i now do so on behalf of the zoning board
when saying that Mr. Malinksky was an excellent solicitor and the town will benefit with his service as
town solicitor now,” Gribbin said.
Prior to adjourning from the meeting, Messina addressed the board about a letter they recently received.
“We received a letter from the allen Littlefield
family for our donation to them at the loss of allen.
allen was a great guy, and he really did a lot for our
board. He will be sadly missed by everyone who
knew him,” Messina said.
this is not Woolson’s first time serving as the zoning board solicitor. He previously held the position
from 1998-2002. following his time with the zoning
board, he acted as solicitor for the planning board in
a stretch that lasted from 2003-2006. His primary duties as zoning board solicitor include the reviewing
of all applications, making sure that they are legally
in compliance and determining exactly what sort of
variance the applicant is seeking.
“in that time period with the zoning board, there
was a lot of substantial kinds of variances and developments that were proposed. We approved the Victory Bible Church on egg Harbor road. We also
approved the Spanish Pentecostal Church. We approved St. anthony’s Parish hall addition. there was
a lot that was approved that really
turned into positive things for the
town of Hammonton,” Woolson
said.
He is thrilled to be back in the
position and believes that his role
as solicitor is important to the
town’s continued development.
“i like to see the right things getting done in Hammonton. that the
people who want to do good development projects are in compliance with the law. i know in the
past that the zoning board has been
very effective with doing that, and
