Thomas A . DeFiore

Thomas A . DeFiore , 78 , of Hammonton , N . J . went home to God on Saturday , January 15 , 2022 .
Tom is a 1961 graduate of West Catholic Boys HS , earned his undergrad at Drexel University and his master ’ s degree at University of Penn- Wharton School . He spent much of his career working for the Naval Air Defense System in Warminster , Pa . and the FAA in Pomona , N . J . as an aerospace engineer . In retirement , Tom reconnected with his love of opera , which he acquired from his parents . Tom was very involved in St . Mary of Mt . Carmel Church . He was a 4th Degree Knight of Columbus Padre Pio Council 14191 and proudly served as the bingo caller . He was a very active member and a spokesperson for the Active and Retired Federal Government Employees Association ( NARFE ). Anyone who knew Tom knew that his love and devotion to his family , Michelle , Tommy and Dianna , were foremost in his life . He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him .
He is the beloved husband of Michelle ( nee Negro ); devoted father of Tommy and Dianna ; loving brother of Len ( Maryann ) DeFiore of Bethesda , Md . and Maria ( Mike ) Frain of Deptford , N . J .; dear brother-in-law of Bill Tyers , Mike Eck , Joe Negro , Connie Wrage , Mike Negro and Donna Ingemi ; treasured uncle of many nieces and nephews ; fun-loving to all his wonderful cousins .
Tom ’ s family will have a private Mass of Christian Burial due to COVID-19 precautions and a desire to protect everyone . His family plans to have a Celebration of Life at a later time , where all will be invited . In lieu of flowers , donations in memory of Tom may be made to St . Mary of Mt . Rita A . Tedeschi

Rita A . Tedeschi ( nee Mascolo ), 70 , of Hammonton , N . J . passed away peacefully at her residence on Friday , January 21 , 2022 .
Born in Vineland she was a lifelong South Jersey resident . Rita was a registered nurse and began her career at Newcomb Hospital . Through the years she worked at AtlantiCare , Kennedy and Underwood Hospitals . She was a member of the Pinelands K9 Club and the American Association of Critical Care Nurses .
Rita is predeceased by her parents , Louis and Frances Mascolo ; and her brothers , Thomas and Phillip .
She is survived by her husband , Louis Tedeschi ; her son , Phillip
Tedeschi and his wife Debbie of Winterhaven , Fla .; her daughter , Nicole Tedeschi of Baltimore , Md .; two brothers , Louis Mascolo ( Christine ) of Vineland and Joseph Mascolo ( Debbie ) of Ft . Myers , Fla .; her sister , Lucia Farinelli ( Chris ) of Weston , Fla .; and her two grandchildren , Matthew and Isabella .
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated , Wednesday , January 26 , 2022 , 11 a . m . in St . Mary of Mt . Carmel Parish , Church of St . Joseph ’ s , 226 French St ., Hammonton . Burial will follow in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery , Hammonton . Viewings were held Tuesday , January 25 from 7 p . m . to 9 p . m . and will be held again on Wednesday , January 26 , 2022 9:30 a . m . to 10:30 a . m . at the Carnesale Funeral Home , 202 S . Third St ., Hammonton , NJ 08037 . Richard F . “ Rick ” Campione

Richard F . “ Rick ” Campione , 86 , of Elm , passed away Thursday , January 20 , 2022 at the New Jersey Veterans Memorial Home in Vineland , N . J
Ḃorn in Hammonton , Rick was a long-time area resident . He worked as a self-employed mason / bricklayer until his retirement . He was a U . S . Army Veteran , former member of the Our Lady of Mt . Carmel Society and St . Martin Church . He was a long-time coach in Hammonton Little League and was on the Hammonton Little League team that went to the Little League World Series in 1947-48 and came in fourth . The 1949 team won the Series . Rick was an accomplished musician and saxophone player , an avid golfer having won several golf tournaments and championships . He also took special joy being around his family especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren . He is predeceased by wife , Mary Ann . He is survived by his children , April ( Tim ) Ebling , Debbie ( Jos ) Randsdorp and Richard
C . ( Lee ); eight grandchildren ; and five great-grandchildren . Funeral Service and Interment were held privately for family with Interment at Oak Grove

Patricia Ordille , ( née Christopher ), 86 , of Hammonton , N . J ., passed away Tuesday , December 28 , 2021 at Virtua Hospital in Voorhees , N . J .
Pat was born and raised in Hammonton and graduated from St . Joseph ’ s High School in 1952 . She worked as an underwriter and secretary for Dealer ’ s Underwriters at Himco for six years . She worked at Arlene ’ s dress shop prior to joining Whitehall Labs where she was secretary to the Comptroller and eventually VP and plant manager . Pat and her husband , Bill , co-owned Mainline Card and Gift Shop for more than 40 years .
Pat ’ s Catholic Faith informed and animated her life and was always a source of hope and comfort to her . Her children and grandchildren were her world and she loved them without measure . She was a tireless and devoted caregiver to her grand-dog Lucy .
Pat is predeceased by her husband , William F . Ordille Sr .; sons , William Jr . and John “ Jack ” Ordille ; parents , Joseph and Lucy Christopher ( née Valentino ); brothers , Tommy , Salvatore and Anthony Christopher ; and sisters , Elizabeth McKillop , Angie Tomasello and Marie Tamaccio .
She is survived by her loving daughter , Pam Raymond and her husband Steve of Moorestown , N . J .; grandchildren , Bailey Patricia and Bethany Rose Raymond and William Robert Ordille ; her sisters , Dolores Ricca of Hammonton and Rita Christopher of Moorestown , as well as many nieces and nephews whom she loved with her whole heart .
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Mass of Christian Burial 11 a . m . Monday , January 31 , 2022 at St . Mary of Mt . Carmel Parish – St . Joseph Church Third & French Streets Hammonton , N . J . Burial will be private .

Anthony George Bennett

Anthony George Bennett , 60 , of Seattle , Wash . passed away on Tuesday , January 11 , 2022 in Virginia Mason Hospital .
Born and raised in Hammonton , N . J . he lived in Atlantic City while working at Resorts International . Anthony then moved to Florida before making his final move to Seattle 30 years ago . Anthony graduated from Hammonton High School Class of 1980 . He worked at Crescent Tires when he was younger . When he moved to Seattle , he worked for Fisherman ’ s Restaurant & Bar before leaving to become a Reservation Assistant at the Sheraton Hotel in Seattle . He was an avid sports fan , most especially a New York Giants fan .
Anthony is predeceased by his parents , George Shady Bennett and Annie R . Bennett ; his stepmother , Bobbie Brown-Bennett ; and his brother , Shady Bennett .
Anthony is survived by his two sisters , Kimberly Bennett Cockrell ( Shannon ) of North East , Md . and Glenda Bennett Adams of Maxton , N . C .; two brothers , Shawn Bennett of Egg Harbor and James Bennett ( Christine ) of Atco , N . J .; and a host of nieces , nephews , cousins and friends .

Warrant arrest made

HAMMONTON — Police made a warrant arrest following a motor vehicle stop at 10:08 p . m . on January 21 on the 400 block of Boyer Avenue , Hammonton Police Chief Kevin Friel said .
Officer Richard Carpo affected a motor vehicle stop for an expired registration , Friel said .
The driver , Amanda Tavarez , 36 , of Mullica Twp . was found to be driving while suspended and found to have a $ 2,500 warrant from Hammonton Joint Municipal Court , Friel said . Friel said Tavarez was charged with the following motor vehicle violations : driving while suspended , unlicensed driver , unregistered vehicle , failure to possess the vehicle registration and failure to possess the insurance card , Friel said .
She was released on the warrants and released pending a court appearance in Hammonton Joint Municipal Court , Friel said .
