HAMMONTON — During the January 19 meeting of the Public Works and Transportation Committee , Public Works Manager Robert Vettese said that

there were five homeowners who took advantage of the town ’ s assistance in testing their private wells in the Lakeview Gardens section of Hammonton .
Two of those wells , Vettese said , had results that exceeded the acceptable amount of per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances ( PFAS ).

HAMMONTON — The Parks and Recreation Commission entertained a presentation by Scott Taylor of Taylor Design Group at their monthly meeting on January 17 .
Taylor appeared with design proposals for signage at the Boyer Avenue Athletic Fields , which the commission had discussed at its December 13 , 2022 meeting . Chairman Lou Cappuccio said that a subcommittee consisting of himself , Commissioner James Borda , Commissioner John Iacovelli and Recreation Leader Denise Mazzeo met with Taylor and with Hammonton Police Chief Kevin Friel to discuss the signage prior to the presentation .
Taylor spoke about some of the issues raised at that meeting .
“ We know that we ’ re getting as well as Hammonton residents gathered inside Kramer Hall to take part in activities that created items where the proceeds would be donated to local charities .

Members of South Jersey Industries volunteer every year upcycling reusable bags and the bags were made out of T-shirts .

Dave King ( pictured fourth from right ) is retiring after 26 years as a mail carrier and Richard Bergbauer ( pictured sixth from right ) is retiring after 37 years as a mail carrier ( with 35 years on the same route ).
