Geraldine “ Gerry ” Mascio , 80 , of Hammonton passed away on Friday , December 29 , 2023 at AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center Mainland Division . Born and raised in Hammonton she was a lifelong resident . Gerry worked on the assembly line at C & E Cannery in Folsom , as a cleaner for Romalo ’ s Pants Company in Hammonton . Gerry then went to work at the Sand ’ s Casino first as a car dispatch then as a bartender where she worked for 26 years .
She is predeceased by her parents , Albert and Mary Mascio ; her brother , Albert Mascio , Jr .; her sister , Carmella Mascio ; her nephews , Lee Calcavecchia , Robert A . Tassone and Albert “ Butch ” Calcavecchia ; and her niece , Danielle . Gerry is survived by her two sisters , Dorothy “ Doll ” Cappuccio and her husband Paul , Jacqueline “ Jackie ” Tassone and her husband Robert ; her longtime boyfriend , Tom Cray ; her nieces and nephews , Kristin Cleary and her husband James and daughter , Mia , Paula Cappuccio , Michael Sheeks ( Linda ), Dusty Sheeks ( Patty ), Cindy Carter ( John ) and Misty Sheeks and many great nieces , nephews , cousins and friends .

Betty Lee Bradley

Betty Lee Bradley , 99 , of Elm , N . J . passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday , January 16 , 2024 . Born in Cambridge , Md . she lived in Elm for 15 years . She worked for Vernon C . Miller Auto Parts until they closed . She then went to work at Spencer Gifts in payroll until her retirement . Betty was a member of Victory Bible Church in Hammonton from day one . She was instrumental in fundraising for the church and served on several committees , including being President of the “ Nifty Fifties ” for several years .
Betty was predeceased by her parents , Gertrude and
Tony Parella ; her husband , John Bradley ; her grandson , Jason Bradley ; and her brother , Darcy Parella . She is survived by her daughter and son in law , JoAnn and Joseph Campanella with whom she lived ; her two sons and their spouses , John and Mary Bradley and Tony L . and Cindy Bradley ; her four grandchildren , Donna Campanella and her husband Bob Llyod , Joseph Campanella and his wife Sharlene , Cameron R . Bradley and his wife Nicole and Cristin Bradley ; four great grandchildren , Aerial Kaplan , Noah Campanella , Aiden Campanella and Hayden Bradley . She will also be missed by her caregiver , Cindy Berenato .
Funeral Services will be held Monday , January 22 , 2024 , 11 a . m . at Victory Bible Church , 816 South Egg Harbor Road , Hammonton , where a visitation will be held from 10 a . m . until 11 a . m . Burial will be held privately at Maryland Veterans Cemetery . In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to either Victory Bible Church or to the Woman ’ s Civic Club , PO Box 422 Hammonton , NJ 08037 .

Andrew “ Andy ” E . Miller , Jr .

Andrew “ Andy ” E . Miller , Jr ., 82 , of Hammonton , N . J . died suddenly Thursday January 18 , 2024 . Andy was born in Camden , NJ and was a Hammonton resident all his life and graduated from Hammonton High School in 1959 . Andy worked for Ancora State Hospital for over 41 years . He was a member and played Saxophone in the group “ Jeannie and the Dreamers ” and later the Dreamers . Andy was a member of Victory Bible Church for over 25 years and played the saxophone at Sunday services . He loved working on his 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air and watching his Philadelphia Eagles .
He is predeceased by his parents , Andrew E . Miller , Sr . and Christine Miller ; daughter , Patricia Martinelli ; and grandson , Joshua Martinelli . He is survived by his loving wife , Marie E . Miller ( nee Spangler ); son , Andrew J . Miller , Sr . of Hammonton , N . J .; daughters , Gina Martinelli Hayes of Hammonton , N . J . and Cathy Martinelli Jerold ( Margaret Marzano ) of Millsboro , Del .; and sister , Jeannie Muhlbauer ( Paul ). He will be sadly missed by his grandchildren , Nina Martinelli , Amanda Jerold , Jordan Brown , Taylor Downey , Ashley Miller ( Christian ), Carly Miller and Andrew J . Miller , Jr . and Great Grandchildren , Adelina Brown , Melena Pierce , Annabella Jerold , Miyan Brown , Alora Cohen and Bentley Brown .
Family and friends are invited to attend his Church Viewing on Friday , January 26 , 2024 beginning at 9 a . m . with Funeral Services to follow at 11 a . m . all at Victory Bible Church 816 S . Each Hall of Fame inductee received a plaque ( members of teams were given certificates ) as well as a lifetime pass to all Hammonton sporting events .
Inductees addressed the audience and many told stories of their playing days while thanking the Hall of Fame committee .

Police Dept . makes DUI arrest

HAMMONTON — The Hammonton Police Department ( HPD ) reported four crimes that involved outstanding warrants and a driving under the influence ( DUI ) that involved child endangerment , according to Hammonton Police Chief Kevin Friel .
Police received a call of a white GMC SUV erratically driving and swerving all over the roadway . This happened on Jan . 21 at 8:15 p . m . in the area of N . Egg Harbor Road and 12th Street .
Officer Richard Carpo observed the accused vehicle stop at a green light with the driver appearing to be passed out . As Carpo activated his light , the driver appeared to come to and started driving away , Friel said .
The driver , Melanie DiStefano , 32 , Williamstown , N . J ., was stopped several blocks away and was found to be operating under the influence . DiStefano was found to have three minor children in the vehicle . DiStefano was taken into custody and charged with DUI , reckless and careless driving , failure to maintain lane of travel , failure to stop and yield to an emergency vehicle and three counts of failure to secure a child in a child-safety restraint .
DiStefano was released , pending court appearance in Hammonton Joint Municipal Court ( HJMC ).
Police received a call of a subject having a disagreement and wanting the subject to leave the residence . Officer Dalton Verderame responded to the incident , which occurred on Jan . 15 at 6:58 p . m . in the 200 block of N . Packard Street .
Verderame encountered Joseph Clark III , 38 , Hammonton , and Clark III was found to have out-
