HAMMONTON — The Hammonton Lake Water Quality Advisory Committee held their monthly meeting at town hall on Jan . 10 . The meeting saw the election of chairperson and vice chairperson for the committee and discussion of committee goals for 2023 .
Dan Bachalis will be the committee chairperson , Dwight Baldwin will be the vice chairperson and John Keenan was elected secretary for the committee . The committee also welcomed Mica McCullough of the Hammonton Parks and Recreation Commission as a new member of the committee , replacing Shawn McCloud .

HAMMONTON — A fire destroyed a home on the 500 block of Walnut Street at 5:06 p . m . on January 9 , Hammonton Police Chief Kevin Friel said .

A fire destroyed a home on Walnut Street on January 9 . No one was injured , according to Hammonton Police Chief Kevin Friel . According to the Hammonton Fire Department , “ In addition to Hammonton units ( E98 , E95 , E99 , Ladder 9 , Tanker 9 , Cascade 9 , Utility 9 ), mutual aid assistance and cover assignments were provided by Winslow Twp . Fire Department , Ancora Fire Department , Collings Lakes Fire Department , Egg Harbor City Fire Department ( Station 1 Cover ), and Elwood Fire Co . ( Station 2 Cover ).
