Mad Circus reuniting to perform at St . Joe in February

HaMMONtON — in february 2016 , St . Joseph High School football teammates , who were known in the ‘ 70s as the Mad Circus , performed in front of more than 450 people benefiting primarily the St . Joe football program . it was a magical night for all involved as it brought many old friends together to relive their memorable high school experiences . the night was so special that the band members were encouraged to do it again .
Band members Joe amedio , Charlie Berenato , Lou and Joe Pantalone did not need much coaxing for a repeat performance as they each had the time of their lives and were overwhelmed by the warm reception they received . instead of waiting another 40 years , the band will once again take stage at their old high school on february 24 to recreate the vintage high school Saturday night dance parties . their old high school , which is currently the site of St . Joe elementary School , is located at 133 N . third Street .
Saturday night at the St . Joe gym was the place to be in the ‘ 70s . in 2016 , at least for a couple of hours , the crowd stepped into the band ’ s time machine . Due to the buzz surrounding the first event , before , during and many months afterwards , the organizers expect an even greater turnout this time around . tickets are $ 40 and are available by contacting Lou Pantalone ( lou . pantalone @ aon . com ), Joe Pantalone ( jpant @ comcast . net ) or Paul Ordille ( Paul @ Ordille . com ).
Proceeds will benefit the St . Joseph High School football Program as well as the elementary school and the high school .
