Gentrification comes to Escambia County Continued Pg . 2 counter tops , retention of the existing crown molding , and the key element of location allows the rental asking price to become relatively close to $ 2,000 a month . There are surplus properties that are still available throughout the county . Investors seem to be turning a profit with the availability . Surplus properties in these areas are being acquired to improve neighborhood vitalization , contribute to the economy , and add homes to the market in the midst of a housing shortage . Those of you whom do not venture into other parts of the city may not have realized the church that once stood at the corner of 12th and Yonge Street has been demolished . It will now be the site for 11 new upscale homes . The old Hallmark Elementary school is currently being demolished , the plans have not been confirmed , but I stopped to take a photo in remembrance of what once stood there . This is a call to action for those of us that live in the communities where gentrification is invading us like a hurricane . “ Hold on to your property ”. But just don ’ t hold on to it-value it , instill the life back into your home and the community . The arguments of struggling economies and the lack of prosperity are understood . But I encourage all to not succumb to these complaints . Act before it is too late . Invest in yourself and invest in your community .

Apostle Deborah Dean , she was born the seventh of ten children to Mr . James H . & Mrs . JeanniL . Caldwell in Albion , Michigan on November 17th . At the young age of 14 she received the baptism of the Holy Spirit . Apostle Dean gained training and experience while serving at The Greater Morning Star Baptist Church . She was one of the many lead singers of K . T . & The Gospel Revelators . During this time the Lord spoke to her and she joined Shiloh Primitive Baptist Church , where she operated in the office of a prophetess and later ordained a minister of the gospel . ( OSHA ) standard 29 CFR Part 1910.120 . The class is focused on the need for construction and disaster response workers to operate under the set of guidelines produced and maintained by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration , which regulates hazardous waste operations and emergency services in the United States and its territories . With these guidelines , the U . S . government regulates hazardous wastes and dangerous goods from inception to disposal . Every year after the initial training requirement has been met ; workers are required to take an 8-hour HAZWOPER refresher course . This refresher course is designed to meet the annual training requirement for hazardous waste operations and emergency response workers . The students at Unity in the Family Ministry ’ s environmental training program have been trained in asbestos abatement , lead paint removal , hazard waste clean-up , weatherization , and basic construction skills . Industry certification certificates are awarded to these students at their graduation in the spring of each year .

I drove through the neighborhood only to realize that the homes that have been erected were on the site where the former Ruby Gainer School once stood . These homes were offered up for sale starting in the low end of the $ 400,000 range . In the Belmont Tract neighborhood , just a block away from the cultural district of Devilliers Street , lines a small row of new rental homes . The rental cost for these homes stretches far beyond a price of $ 1,000 a month . The former shot gun homes in the past were never rented for those prices , but in current times a few amenities such as ; granite

Not only is the company allowing its users to spend with culturally relevant companies , but it is also allowing you to spend by investing in the company itself . He is aming at keeping the dollars in the community . Mr . Sullaiman II started his entrepreneur career the age of 16-years old right here in Pensacola , FL . for the last 6 years he ran an Inc 5000 ranked technology company . The technology behind my tech company was based on a problem I personally experienced in accepting prepaid wireless payments as a wireless store owner . He started Spendwithin in 2015 after serving with a local African American chamber of commerce . I wanted a way to curate the commerce of black business , after unsuccessfully launching a local black business directory . So I began working on a “ Black Amazon ” or a version of a black e-commerce site . Because the growth of my tech company was occurring at the same time , I wasn ’ t able to fully commit the time needed to finish Spendwith . Over the next few years , my perspective began to evolve on the type of platform needed and who the technology needed to also serve . After the decline of my tech company in 2016 and consequently filing for personal bankruptcy , I sought out a job in web development . However , the lure of entrepreneurship was still strong , and I decided to bring a previous idea back to life , in a new form . That ’ s the version of the Spendwith app we have today , one that encourages spending with the seller and businesses associated with eight different cultural groups , with more to come . Says Mr . Sullaiman . Spendwith ’ s mission is to increase commerce with cultures and across cultures . In short , I wanted to create a platform that gave people a way to feel good about targeting their spending toward multiple cultures . Until now , no platform like this existed . Our goal is to organize and display this culture / demographic-related activity in our app in addition to the organic listings that will be posted .
