MAY
We’ve got a busy season ahead with events, shows, festivals and activities
for all the family! It's East Ayrshire Youth Theatre's 10th anniversary and there are a whole host of
celebrations planned. The Palace will welcome X Factor winner Joe McElderry and the hilarious
Edinburgh Fringe Sneaky Peek returns in July. Waterloo 200 - Charles Ewart and Kilmarnock’s Eagle
will be on display at Dean Castle and works by Abram Games will be featured at the Dick Institute
alongside Treasured Collections. Keir Hardie - A Hundred Years On will open at the Baird Institute.. At
Dean Castle & Country Park, don’t miss our school holiday activities, events and our first month-long
countryside festival! For those who enjoy creative writing, look out for Writers' Day and the Imprint
Writing Award. Young readers can sign up for the Summer Reading Challenge at any East Ayrshire
Library and become a Record Breaker! New sports memberships have been introduced at Loudoun
Leisure Centre and the Ayrshire Athletics Arena including a family pass which allows you to make some
great savings on fitness classes, kid's activities and much more!
