The dust had barely settled on a Weetalaba Station landscape rehydration project when it copped a lashing from an intense rain event which dropped 170mm rain over several days .
Neighbours work together on one gully
A partnership between neighbouring properties has resulted in effort on one property to halt gully expansion , to benefit both . We visited the site to see how remediation efforts were faring following the wet season .

Monitoring and maintenance continues
NQ Dry Tropics is maintaining and monitoring gullies remediated between 2017 and 2020 through the LDC project . The aim is to evaluate their effectiveness in reducing erosion .
