Judge ’ s comments : Taking really lovely family portraits can be a challenge , especially with ankle biters ! This image captures the lot for me . It ’ s the late afternoon to get those warm tones in a great location . The overhanging tree frames the family well and using a shallow depth of field makes them pop nicely from the background . Everybody looks so relaxed and happy . I think the photographer and the family should be congratulated !
