Managment

2

The second management strategy our group proposed is to build some fishing farms. These farms are places where people will breed fish so that they don’t have to spend time and use a lot of expensive equipment to collect fish. There are some fishing farms in Australia but people say it’s cruel to keep fish in glass tanks so for our plan of the fish farm we would like to build a numerous amount of large tanks that are very similar to the natural habitat of the fish. We believe that this strategy will help more people then it will harm people. The way that this farm will help people is that with less money being spent on ships and equipment then the price of fish in the shops will drop making it not only better for the Great Barrier Reef but for families or just people needing to buy food.

Both these management strategies will be funded by fundraisers and small taxes taken from the businesses that rely on the Great Barrier Reef because these plans will benefit these people the most which means they should help to make this happen.
