You Garden Machinery Mobile Service & Repair for an estimate call Pershore Volunteer Centre Lunch Club Celebrates 2 Years A cohort of 27 regular lunch club members held their celebratory get together to mark the end of a second successful year of meetings. This was kindly hosted by The Angel Hotel. Pre- lunch entertainment was provided by the popular Griff Collins. Alongside his normal repertoire he sang his seasonal “asparagus” song that he had written. A two-course lunch was then served. Will White t: 01386 860918 m: 07716 404489 Your dog’s holiday starts here Devoted to dogs since 2000 r Foreve The regular twice monthly lunch club will continue at St Andrews Centre 11.30am to 1.30pm on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of the month, and midday on the 4th Tuesday of the month at The Angel Hotel. The Pershore Volunteer Centre Lunch Club was set up in 2016 as a regular activity for older people, to help reduce social isolation and loneliness by providing a friendly, familiar and engaging environment. There is a varied programme of entertainment from local groups, schools and performers. This is then followed by a two-course lunch (cooked on site). By offering transport it enables us to include those who are at greater risk of isolation due to mobility or environmental issues. There are about 10 much valued volunteers who regularly help and without them it wouldn’t be possible. In autumn 2018 we were able to increase to a third meeting each month when The Angel Hotel offered to host a regular lunch.
