P s a l m s 46: 10
Psalm 46:10New International Version (NIV)
10 He says, “Be still, and know that I am God;
Now this scripture sounds good, but when in very
uncertain times, who can really be still and know that
He is God. God is telling us to relax and trust in Him.
Have peace and faith. God says stop and let Him handle it. When things get uncomfortable, we tend to
want to take things in our own hands. How many people would put their lives and even the life of their
child in God's hands. But this is exactly what happened in 1Kings 17. She believed. Perhaps with some
hesitation but she still trusted. So not only did she
live; she thrived and got her son back in the process. I
don't want you to think it would be easy, but rest assured, trusting in God is the best option with the best
possible outcome.

Meet Tracey Johnson, she is a
smart, beautiful and focused
woman of God. We met
Tracey through social media.
One day Tracey decided to
post her story about a eightysix year old KKK that she had
come into contact with on
facebook. With compassion in
her heart this is what she
shared with us. “Lord I saw this old man hopping
down the road with bags so I turned my car around
and I asked the old man to let me take him where he
was going”. He said ,"I don't wont to trouble you". “I
told him it was no problem”. So he got in the car with
all his bags. Then he said wait my dog , can he ride
too? In my mind, I will have to be honest with you. “I
was saying to myself heck no but out of my mouth I
said sure”. So as we are going down the road he says
to me, “Am 86 and am part of the KKK”. “I told him I
am Tracey Johnson and I am a child of God”. Long
story short this man broke down crying and asked me
if he could go to church with me because he wants to
go see Jesus when he die. As we pulled up at his home
sure enough I saw the confederate flags. “He said
colored people are good people”. “I was lied to all
my life”. Wow, Tracey story blew me away. There
are so many lessons that we can learn from her
story. We can learn to be caring and helpful towards others. Her story reminds us to always treat
people with love and respect because you never
know who is looking for Jesus, a little compassion
goes a long way. Tracey saw a need and decide to
let God use her. As followers of Jesus Christ we
should all do the same. This man was broken. He
was in needed of a spiritual healing, a encounter
with Jesus and his love, and that’s just what he got
when he met Jesus through Tracey Johnson. We
can also see how God blessed Tracey with boldness ,wisdom and protection. I mean how many of
us would continue to ride around with a KKK in
our car? God’s Love and forgiveness is truly
amazing. If you look closely we can also see all of
the fruits of the spirit working in this situation.
Last but not least Tracey’s bold confession of who
she was led a stranger to repent and give his life to
Jesus. When was the last time your confession
caused someone to repent, or repent and give their
life to Christ? Selah
