For 200 years the world loved moral tales of witches, fairies, and the occasional wolf. The undeniable attraction to these stories, some only a few paragraphs long, has taken over the world. Every culture has a form of Fairy Tale told with a warning or just good gossip.\\r\\n As a young girl I was enamored with fairy tales, and the idea of witches. My mother has always kept a small witch doll or figure in her kitchen. She would tell me that the witch scared off the bad spirits so our food would make us stronger.I didn\'t know then that my mother grew up in the heart of the Philippine jungle and like other countries had their own stories.\\r\\n I grew collecting books full of princesses, dragons, talking trees…magic. Every child has some magic in them. I can often find my children trying a loved Harry Potter spell or making potions in the backyard. Like many children also lived in a land of imagination. They live in a land of imagination. Unfortunately many adults forget how to find that land and can\'t help their children find the way. \r\nThis is what inspired me to include a new section in this issue based on my mini adventures as a girl. Dio is an LED, (that\'s right Dio is short for Diode), just making her way in a bigger world. She\'s not perfect but can still shine . I do hope Dio inspires your family to find the magic of the every day. \\r\\nMarlo
