Theodis (Theo) Johnson III always believed he had a calling on his life. As the oldest of four children born to Deacon Theodis Johnson and his wife Dorothy, at an early age he sensed that he was destined to lead and help others. Rev. Johnson was born in Tacoma, Washington. His family moved to Dallas, Texas when he was a baby. There, he was nurtured in a loving environment of immediate and extended family members. While growing up with peer pressures typically experienced in many urban communities, Rev. Johnson found himself surrounded by a great deal of hopelessness and few opportunities. So after graduating from high school, he left home to attend Prairie View Agricultural and Mechanical University in Houston. Four years later he received a Bachelor of Arts degree in radio and television communications. Being the first in his family to graduate college, and with a renewed sense of pride and purpose, Rev. Johnson remained in the Houston area to pursue his dream of becoming a television personality. It was also during this time Rev. Johnson married his high school sweetheart, Alicia Jackson. While expecting the first of their four children, the couple decided to move back to Dallas in pursuit of ministry. In Dallas Rev. Johnson accepted a position as an associate minister at his childhood church, West Mt. Horeb Missionary Baptist Church. Desiring more knowledge for God’s calling, he enrolled in Dallas Theological Seminary. In December 2009 Rev. Johnson received a Master of Theology degree in pastoral leadership. After serving at West Mt. Horeb for two and a half years, the Lord called him to assist in establishment of three additional churches under the ministry. With a renewed passion and desire for people, Rev. Johnson served in the capacities of associate pastor, executive pastor and lead pastor, respectively. He invested the next 10 years of his life helping to build those ministries. During that time God sharpened his preaching, teaching and leadership gifts, as well as developed his ability to shepherd His people. In 2010, Rev. Johnson once again accepted that familiar calling from God, becoming the associate pastor of Sweet Home Missionary Baptist Church in Miami, Florida. After serving in that role for two years, Rev. Johnson became engulfed in an unexpected transition within the leadership of the church, and was asked to assume the position as interim pastor. With the Holy Spirit as his guide and a great deal of prayer, over a six-month period Pastor Johnson led the church out of crisis and into triumph. In May 2013, the congregation of Sweet Home overwhelmingly expressed its desire to have him serve as the pastor, to which he graciously accepted. Rev. Johnson’s mission is to preach and teach the uncompromised word of God, in a relevant and practical way. He strives daily to develop and train disciples, while engaging and evangelizing the unchurched and unsaved community for Christ. “The ultimate goal is to reac ??H???\?\???\? 8?'H?ZY?]????????8?'H?[???][?H^?]Y X?]?H[??Z[?[???]?[?^\?H?YZ?HY\??Y?H?[?]?\??[??K?]HY]??[?H?[]?[??H[YH?H\?H[???'HHY[X?\?????Y]?YHZ\??[?\?H?\\??\??\?H??[Z]Y??\?[??[??\??Z[???]H?\?[?]??\??]?[?\????????[\\?H?????
