a source for successful Christian living. He
states, “Your Word is a lamp to my feet and a
light to my path” (v.105). The Christian must
gain joy from the Word and delight in it. In
this 119th Psalm David “loves” God’s Word
(v.159), he “rejoices” at his Word (v.162), the
Word is “wondrous” (v.18), it is “better than
thousands of gold and silver pieces” (v.72), and
“sweeter than honey to my mouth” (v.103).
The danger of conveniently using God’s Word
is that the Christian sends mixed signals as
to what it means to be born again. Conve-
niently applying God’s Word is also a breeding
ground for conflict within the church. Love in
the church is wounded and injured when the
Christian conveniently applies God’s Word.
I am convinced that when believers begin to
strive to wholly apply God’s Word, God will
find pleasure in His children and blessings will
flow from Heaven. His Kingdom will experi-
ence increase and the world will change for the
good.

A Children’s Book from
the mind of a Special Needs Child
Alicia Ellison, Founder of Arias Planet non-
profit organization, is promoting inclusion
for special needs children in her new book
Arias First Day of School. All the profits from
this book are being donated to Arias Planet
community events that host activities for
special needs children and their families
throughout Miami Dade County.
Alicia Ellison, mother of Aria, was inspired
by a Daycare demonstrating inclusion by
stepping outside of the box and accepting
Aria as their first special needs child.
Followers of Arias Planet have expressed
great enthusiasm about the book and its
need for children and families in the com-
munity. Readers have utilized the organiza-
tions website at www.ariasplanet.org to ob-
tain copies of the book.
Alicia has a BS in Public Relations and has
worked in Corporate America for over 10
years. She was introduced to the lack of in-
clusion for special needs children with the
birth of Aria.
