The cats at Mornac SPA, Angoulême, a place frequented by some of the LAARFers, have a very nice standard of living as you can see from the photo of the outside area of their enclosure (below). All the cats live together in their cosy quarters where they are extremely well cared for by a dedicated team.

However, as you can see, these outside “Wendy houses” that have been built especially for them require cosy bedding for them to snuggle into. Luckily for these cats, they also have an indoor living area which is warm and immaculately kept but which requires a constant supply of clean bedding to keep their furry bottoms comfortable! With over 180 dogs also in residence at the refuge of Angoulême at any one point in time, you can understand the need for bedding.

Of course, the best way to keep the animals warm is to offer hands-on cuddling! If you are interested in volunteering at your local refuge, don’t be afraid to make contact with them directly, as often they will be delighted to have your help. If you’d like to buddy up with one of the ever-growing teams of LAARFers, then please contact them on:
