Do you love animals and live in France? Donating bedding to the animal refuges this winter is one way to help the hundreds of thousands of homeless cats and dogs living in them to stay warm...

In winter, some of the refuges can be a tough place to live. Confined to pens that are sometimes exposed to the elements and often un-heated, the animals, particularly the older ones, can suffer. Your cast-offs of sheets, towels, blankets and duvets will make a huge difference to them.

The LAARF Group (Les Amis des Animaux des Refuges en France) is a group of animal-loving volunteers, who, as well as actively volunteering at their nearest refuges all over France, have organised a bedding collection scheme. If you're unable to take bedding to your local refuge, then you can either join the LAARF Facebook group, or email them to find out where your nearest bedding collection point is (contact details next page).
