When Stephen Cronk and his family left England for France in 2010 it was to follow a dream Stephen had - to make wine. The Cronks settled in the beautiful little village of Cotignac in Provence and set about making their dream come true. They had no direct experience of winemaking, there were language barriers and they had the infamous French business culture to deal with. It seemed to many that they were taking on a huge, perhaps insurmountable task…

So when a gold medal from the Concours Général Agricole in Paris fluttered through their letterbox recently for their Mirabeau Pure Rosé, it was a testament to their hard work and vision. The “Oscars” of French wine acknowledged the efforts of Stephen and his experienced winemaking team and follows on from several more awards last year.

Stephen says “It’s great to achieve this recognition from the top wine competition on our home turf... we can now be considered one of the top producers in Provence. We are proud of both of our Rosés, but Pure represents something really special for us”.

The Cronks have a Mirabeau showroom in the heart of the village of Cotignac where they promote not just their wines but also typically Provencal homewares.

They’re offering one lucky reader of The Good Life France a taste of the good life – 6 delicious bottles of Pure rosé, direct from Provence…
