Opened in 2021 , the distillery combines the expertise of Esseterre workers , who have been successfully producing Lavender essential oil for the past seven years , with new regional talent . Its first harvesting campaign brought together 30 specialists to ensure an incredible first season .
The rose harvesting campaign is short and lasts less than a month . 3.5 tons of rose petals yield one kilogram of rose essential oil , and Terra Roza has the capacity to distil between fifty and seventy kilograms of the oil , which translates into 10,000 to 15,000 five millilitre bottles .
Terra Roza ’ s agronomists make sure that the rose fields have the best quality of rose plants , Rosa Damascena , and encourage pure and organic agriculture . It takes timely harvesting , precise logistics , careful water distillation and rigorous testing to make a 100 % pure rose essential oil .
