Palace of Ukhaidir: This palace is the best preserved palace of the early Abbasid Era. It is located to the south of Baghdad. Each of the corners of its big outer enclosure had a circular tower. Semi-circular towers were placed in between these corner towers. Ukhaidir stands out amongst other palaces as it is preserved in remarkable condition.
