ΑΚΡΟΠΟΛΗ | ACROPOLIS

βορειοδυτική πλαγιά της Ακρόπολης, οι
ανασκαφές της Αγγλικής Αρχαιολογικής
Σχολής έφεραν στο φως τμήματα από το
ιερό της πολιούχου ή Χαλκιοίκου Αθη-
νάς, το σημαντικότερο ιερό της αρχαίας
Σπάρτης.

Just 2 km from the center of the city, a short
walk will transfer you to Ancient Sparta At
the northwest end of the Acropolis, the
excavations of the British School of Archeol-
ogy have brought to light sections of the
Temple of Athena Chalkioikos or Patron
Saint Athena, the most important sanctuary
of Ancient Sparta.
