ΛΊΜΝΗ ΚΕΡΚΊΝΗ
Ένας θαυµαστός κόσµος, µόλις 55 χλµ. από τις Σέρρες, ένα τοπίο απείρου κάλλους ξε-
διπλώνεται µε πρώτο πλάνο τη λίµνη και τη θέα στο βουνό Μπέλες και την κοιλάδα των
Σερρών! Παρόλο που δηµιουργήθηκε από ανθρώπινη παρέµβαση, µοιάζει µε θαύµα
της φύσης και αποτελεί έναν µοναδικό υγροβιότοπο, που έχει ανακηρυχθεί σε Εθνικό
Πάρκο, ενώ είναι από τα κορυφαία σηµεία σε όλη την Ευρώπη για birdwatching. Εκτός,
όµως, από τα 300 είδη πουλιών, εδώ ζει και o µεγαλύτερoς αριθµός βoυβαλιώv στηv
Ελλάδα! Κάντε µια βόλτα στα νερά της µε τις χαρακτηριστικές βάρκες, τις «πλάβες», ενώ

KERKINI LAKE
As we get to this miraculous world, only 55 km away
from Serres, in a landscape of infinite beauty, which un-
folds in front of our eyes, with the lake and the view to
Belles mountain and the valley of Serres as a first shot!
Although this small paradise was created by human
intervention, it looks like a wonder of nature and it is a
unique wetland, which, moreover, has been declared
as a National Park, while it is one of the top spots in Eu-
rope for bird-watching. Nevertheless, beyond the more
than 300 kinds of birds, here also lives the largest num-
ber of buffalos in Greece! Don’t miss a ride on its waters
with the characteristic boats, known as «plaves», while
some activities are also being organized such as trek-
