CYPRIOT DIALECT...
On the south side of the island and at a distance
of 28 km from the town of Rhodes, you will find
Archangelos, the largest village of the island, with
more than 7,000 inhabitants. It was built in the
medieval years far from the sea, in order to be pro-
tected from the pirates. Today, the locals keep the
customs and traditions like a precious treasure, in
spite of the touristic development of the area. The
inhabitants aren’t affected by the modern lifestyle,
following intently the customs of their ancestors.
They even have their own separate dialect, as
they come from Cyprus, they speak in the Cypriot
dialect of Paphos... At the highest point of Arhag-
gelos, the Knights Fortress has been overseeing the
village for more than 600 years...

του νησιού, το εστιατόριο συνεχίζει για τρίτη
γενιά την μακραίωνη παράδοση. Να σερβίρει
δηλαδή ολόφρεσκα πιάτα θαλασσινών, μεζέ-
δες για το ούζο ή τη μπύρα, συνταγές παραδο-
σιακές ή σύνθετες όλα μαγειρεμένα με μεράκι
και αγάπη για το εκλεκτό φαγητό. Καθημερινά
12:00-23:00.
With its history dating from 1932, located in a
space full of memories, and with a view of the
scenic Stegna beach in one of the most beau-
tiful places in the island, the third generation
of the restaurant continues its long standing
tradition: to serve fresh seafood dishes, meze
snacks to pair ouzo or beer, traditional or
more complex recipes, all cooked with care
and love for fine food. Daily 12:30-23:00.
