ΝΑΌΣ ΠΥΘΊΟΥ ΑΠΌΛΛΩΝΑ
Ένα από τα σημαντικότερα μνημεία του
νησιού είναι και ο Ναός Πυθίου, τμήμα
του οποίου έχει υποστεί εργασίας ανα-
παλαίωσης. Αποτελεί μέρος ενός μεγά-
λου αρχαιολογικού χώρου από όπου
ο επισκέπτης θαυμάζει την Ακρόπολη
της Ρόδου και το Αρχαίο Στάδιο.
TEMPLE OF PYTHIAN APOLLO
One of the most important monu-
ments of the island is also the Temple
of Pythian Apollo, part of which has
undergone restoration work. It is a
part of a large archaeological site
where we can admire the Acropolis of
Rhodes and the Ancient Stadium.

Αιγαίο και τα γειτονικά νησιά Μακρύ,
Στρογγύλη, Χάλκη και Αλιμία, προ-
σφέρει το Castel Nuovo ή Κάστρο της
Κρητηνίας που κατά το παρελθόν χρησι-
μοποιήθηκε ως αμυντικό φρούριο που
προστάτευε τη δυτική πλευρά της Ρόδου
από επιθέσεις Οθωμανών και πειρατών.

An astonishing view to the endless Ae-
gean Sea and the neighbouring islands
Strogyli, Chalki and Aliminia, is offered
by Castel Nuovo also known as Castle
of Kritinia, which was used in the past
as a defensive fortress protecting the
western side of Rhodes from the attacks
of the pirates and the Ottomans.
