AGHIA TRIADA OF PIRAEUS The Cathedral of the Holy Temple of Aghia Triada in Piraeus was founded in 1839 by the first mayor of the town, Kiriakos Serifiotis. At first it had a strange shape and no windows. On January 11th 1944, during the bombing of the town, it was fully destroyed and after a lot of effort, it was reconstructed in June 17th 1956. The temple in Byzantine style and with a capacity of 3.100 persons, and it isn’t considered as just a place to pray, insight and fervor but also a byzantine monuments, Every year on 17 of June the temple celebrates very gloriously, including the procession of the icon and daily services. 101
