Το σημαντικό γεγονός έχει ως συνέπεια την προσέλευση χιλιάδων επισκεπτών
στην πόλη το διάστημα των Αποκριών, προκειμένου να γίνουν μέρος αυτού του
ξεφαντώματος, και έχει προαγάγει την Πάτρα στον δημοφιλέστερο καρναβαλικό
προορισμό της χώρας! Διοργανώνεται ανελλιπώς εδώ και 180 χρόνια, είναι μια
γιορτή γεμάτη κόσμο, μουσικές, γλέντι και χρώματα, ένας μαγικός κόσμος με πο-
λύ κέφι, χορό, τραγούδι και μεγάλα άρματα με επίκαιρο και περιπαικτικό θέμα.
Ευφάνταστοι καρναβαλιστές με πολύχρωμες φορεσιές, πρωτότυπα άρματα, δυ-
νατή μουσική και άφθονο κέφι, παρελαύνουν στους δρόμους της πόλης με χαρά
και άκρως παιχνιδιάρικη διάθεση, ανάμεσα στον κόσμο που συγκεντρώνεται
εκεί για να γιορτάσει μαζί τους. Οι Πατρινοί είναι οι ειδήμονες του καρναβαλιού,
καθώς ήδη από το 1870 διοργάνωναν δράσεις για τον εορτασμό των Αποκριών,
ενώ μέχρι σήμερα τόσο οι ντόπιοι όσο και οι φοιτητές συμμετέχουν ένθερμα
κάθε χρονιά. Αναμφίβολα πρόκειται για ένα είδος μέθεξης, το οποίο πρέπει κανείς
να βιώσει προκειμένου να το αντιληφθεί. Εάν συνοψίζαμε, το μόνο που θα μπο-
ρούσαμε να πούμε είναι... «Πατρινό καρναβάλι για πάντα»!
As a result, thousands of visitors swarm in the town during the carnival
season, in order to become part of this celebration, and this has
made Patras the most popular carnival destination in the country! The
carnival is organised annually for the last 180 years, and is a feast full
of people, music, fun and colours, a magical world brimming with joy,
dancing and singing and large floats with a timely and scornful subject.
Whimsical participants with colourful costumes, extraordinary floats,
loud music and endless fun are the key elements of the parade into the
streets of the town, in a joyful and absolutely derisive mood, among the
crowds that gather in the town to celebrate with them. The locals are
the experts in Carnival, as they organise activitites 1870 to celebrate the
Carnival, while until this day both the locals and the students participate
with great enthusiasm. It is without a doubt a type of “methexis”
that someone has to experience in order to understand. If we want to
describe it in a few words, these would be “Patras Carnival forever”!
