ΠΛΑΤΕΊΑ ΤΡΙΏΝ
ΣΥΜΜΆΧΩΝ
Αρχικά ονομαζόταν Πλατεία
Τελωνείου, καθώς εκεί
βρισκόταν το τελωνείο,
αλλά μετονομάστηκε
σε Τριών Συμμάχων,
παραπέμποντας στον αγώνα
της απελευθέρωσης και στη
συμβολή των συμμαχικών
δυνάμεων, Αγγλίας, Γαλλίας
και Ρωσίας. Βρίσκεται
ανάμεσα στη λεωφόρο
Όθωνος - Αμαλίας και στην
Αγίου Ανδρέα, στο κέντρο
της πόλης, κάθετα στον
πεζόδρομο της οδού Αγίου
Νικολάου. Χαρακτηριστικό
της γνώρισμα ήταν και
παραμένει το μεγάλο
άνθινο ρολόι.

TRION SIMMACHON SQUARE Originally named
“Teloniou Square”, as it housed the customs office, it was
renamed “Trion Simmachon” (which means “Three Allies),
refering to the liberation struggle and the contribution
of the coalition forces: England, France and Russia. It
is located between Othonos - Amalias and Aghiou
andrea avenues, in the centre of the town, vertical to
the pedestrianised Aghiou Nikolaou street. Its distinctive
feature was and still remains the large flower clock.
