ΧΑΜΆΜ ΠΆΤΡΑΣ
Τα περίφημα θερμά λουτρά της Πά-
τρας είναι ανάμεσα στα παλιότερα
σωζόμενα σε χρήση στην Ευρώπη.
Τα Λουτρά - Χαμάμ κατασκευάστη-
καν τον 16ο αι. επί Ενετοκρατίας.
Κατά τη διάρκεια της Τουρκοκρατίας
διατηρήθηκαν, καθώς για τους Τούρ-
κους είχε ιδιαίτερη σημασία η χρήση
τους, αποτελώντας κομμάτι της κα-
θημερινότητάς τους. Αξίζει σίγουρα
να τα επισκεφτείτε ακόμα και αν δεν
είστε λάτρεις του χαμάμ.

PATRAS HAMMAM The renowned
thermal springs of Patras are among
Europe’s older ones preserved and
still in use. The baths-hammams were
constructed in the 16th century during
the Venetian Occupation, while in the
years of the Ottoman Occupation the
place was preserved, as its use was of
particular importance for the Turks
being part of their everyday life. It is
definitetly worth visiting, even if you
are not a hammam enthusiast.
