ΤΟ ΘΕΑΤΡΟ
Παγκοσμίως γνωστή φυσικά για
το θέατρό της, που πήρε «σάρκα
και οστά» το 340 π.Χ. Πρόκειται
για το τελειότερο και διασημότε-
ρο αρχαίο ελληνικό θέατρο που
συνδυάζει την κομψότητα με την
τέλεια ακουστική, και αποτελεί
και αυτό πολιτιστικό Μνημείο
της UNESCO. Το θέατρο φιλο-
ξενεί παγκόσμιου βεληνεκούς
θεατρικές παραστάσεις κατά τη
διάρκεια του Φεστιβάλ Αθηνών
και Επιδαύρου, τους καλοκαιρι-
νούς μήνες. Είναι χτισμένο μέσα
στο δάσος, κοντά στο σημερινό
Λυγουριό της Αργολίδος και
συνδέει την απαράμιλλη φύση
και τον ένδοξο αρχαίο ελληνικό
πολιτισμό. Αξίζει να το επισκε-
φθείτε, ακόμα και αν δεν είναι
προγραμματισμένη κάποια
θεατρική παράσταση.
THE THEATRE It is internationally
famous for its theatre, that was
constructed in 304 B.D. and is con-
sidered as the finest and famous
ancient Greek theatre, combining
elegance with perfect acoustics
and is also an UNESCO World
Heritage Monument. The theater
hosts world-wide theatrical per-
formances during the Athens and
Epidaurus Festival during the sum-
mer months. It is built in the forest,
close to Lygourio village of Argolis,
built in the Mediterranean woods,
it connects the unparalleled nature
with the glorious ancient Greek civ-
ilization. It is worth visiting, even if
a theatrical show is not scheduled.
