ΦΑΚΈΣ ΕΓΚΛΟΥΒΉΣ | EGKLOUVIS LENTILS
Στα 730 μέτρα υψόμετρο δεσπόζει ακριβώς
στο κέντρο του νησιού, το ορεινότερο και
ένα από τα αρχαιότερα χωριά της Λευκάδας, η
Εγκλουβή. Όνομα που οφείλεται στην τοπο-
θεσία του, καθώς είναι «εγκλωβισμένο» από
βουνά. Εκεί, παράγεται η περίφημη φακή που
καλλιεργείται από γενιά σε γενιά και ξεχωρίζει
για την ποιότητα, τη γεύση και τη θρεπτική
αξία. Η φακή Εγκλουβής το μοναδικό αυτό
όσπριο και superfood, είναι προϊόν που έχει
διακριθεί σε πολλές εκθέσεις. Η καλλιέργειά
της γίνεται χωρίς τη χρήση φυτοφαρμάκων
και λιπασμάτων και η σοδειά της εξαρτάται
απόλυτα από τον καιρό.

At an altitude of 730 meters, the moun-
tainous Eglkuvi, one of the oldest vil-
lages of Lefkada, dominates the center
of the island. Its name derives from its
location, since it is enclosed by moun-
tains. Here, the famous local lentils are
produced. The cultivation of the lentils
passes from generation to generation
and they are distinguished for their qual-
ity, taste and nutritional value. Egklouvis
lentil, this unique legume and super-
food, is a unique product which has been
distinguished in many exhibitions. It is
cultivated without the use of pesticides
and fertilizers and its crop is completely
dependent on the weather.
