THE «ISLAND OF SIKELIANOS»
At the entrance of the island, there is a place unique, almost poetic. It is the island of Agios
Nikolas which was named after the small chapel built on the ruins of an ancient temple
dedicated to Aphrodite. This small strip of land with the shallow waters, the long beach and
the sandy coast was the paradise of poet Angelos Sikelianos, who lived here with his wife
and their son.
