ταφίου το βράδυ της Μεγάλης Παρασκευής
στα Καμίνια. Η πομπή καταλήγει στη θάλασ-
σα. | One of the island’s special customs with
great intensity is the procession of the Epitaph in
the evening of the Holy Friday in Kaminia. The
procession leads to the sea.
ΜΙΑΟΎΛΕΙΑ | MIAOULIA (JUNE)
Γιορτή αφιερωμένη στη ναυτική πολεμική
δράση του Ανδρέα Μιαούλη και άλλων
υδραίων αγωνιστών. Στο επίκεντρο, η ανα-
παράσταση της ναυμαχίας με κορύφωση την
πυρπόληση της τουρκικής φρεγάτας. | Cel-
ebration dedicated to the naval military action
of Andreas Miaoulis and other warriors from
Hydra. In the main focus stands the representa-
tion of the sea battle with the burning of the
Turkish frigate as the top event.
ΚΟΥΝΤΟΥΡΙΏΤΕΙΑ | KOUNTOURIOTIA
Εξαήμερες εκδηλώσεις προς τιμήν του πρώ-
του Προέδρου της Ελληνικής Δημοκρατίας,
Ναυάρχου Παύλου Κουντουριώτη. | Six-day
HYDRA’S TRAIL EVENT (ΑPRIL)
Διήμερο αγώνων ορεινού τρεξίματος με
κορυφαία την «Eros mountain trail», μια
διαδρομή 25,6χλμ., ενώ η πρωτοτυπία
είναι ο «Downhill», ο μοναδικός αγώνας
κατάβασης στην Ελλάδα. | Two-day races of
mountain running with “Eros Mountain Trail” as
the top race, a trail of 25,6 km, while the most
innovative fact is that “Downhill” is the only
descent race in Greece.
SAILING RACES
Κάθε χρόνο διεξάγονται δυο ιστιοπλοϊκοί
αγώνες τέλη Οκτωβρίου και τον Μάρτιο.
There are two established sailing races that take
place every year in the end of June and March.
