Only 5,5km from Karpenissi , you will say “ Good morning ” to the locals on Kallithea ( which means “ nice view ”) and was named after its views to the valley of Karpenissi . Majestic firs covering the slopes of Koniskos mountain ( the extension of Kaliakouda ). Take some deep breaths and head to Miriki ( through Karpenissiou regional road ) on the foothills of Neraidovouni mountain , with a view that calms body and soul . Make a stroll and your steps will lead you to the temple of Aghia Paraskevi ( dating from 1816 ). Aghios Nikolaos , your next stop through the regional road , will surprise you with its terrific beauty that will make you feel like you are at a village in Switzerland . dreamy destination surrounding the fertile Karpenissiotis valley , overlooking the river and Chelidona . Take a breather at the square of the village , where , apart from the view , you can enjoy homemade tastes or a cold or warm drink . After four kilometers , you will meet Aghios Andreas , a beautiful little village with a church of the same name , full of vegetation . According to the tradition , during the winter months , the Saint “ protects ” the only resident . Just a stone ’ s throw away , there is Mouzilo , a picturesque village with the white- washed temple of the Assumption of the Mother of God ( Kimiseos tis Theotokou ) with the warmhearted locals . Within striking distance , you will meet Aniada ( which is also a popular base for hiking ) and Sigrellos ( at an altitude of 1,230m ), on the fringes of Kaliakouda . At Sigrello , it is worth going up to the top of the village to visit the chapel of Aghia Paraskevi .
