ΚΑΣΤΡΟ ΘΕΡΜΗΣΊΑΣ Σε δύο βράχους ύψους 230 μ . είναι χτισμένο το άγνωστο στους πολλούς Ηλιόκαστρο ή « Κάστρο της Ωριάς », 3 χλμ . μακριά από τη Θερμησία . Ανά τους αιώνες κυριεύτηκε από πολλούς κατακτητές , με τελευταίους τους Ενετούς , που το ανατίναξαν λίγο πριν ηττηθούν από τους Τούρκους το 1715 . Σήμερα σώζεται ο περίβολος των τειχών με πολυγωνικό χτίσιμο στο μικρό ύψωμα που χρησίμευε ως ακρόπολη του χωριού . Στην ακρόπολη του κάστρου σώζονται τα λείψανα μιας κινστέρνας και ενός ναού που χρονολογείται στον 11ο ή
12ο αι . ή μετά τον 13ο αι .
THERMISIA CASTLE Iliokastro , also known as “ Castle of Oria ” has been built on two 230-meter-tall rocks , 3km away from Thermisia . Over the centuries it was conquered by many invaders , with the last being the Venetians , who blew it up right before they were defeated by the Turks in 1715 . Today , the compound of the walls is preserved , with a polygonal structure on the small mound that served as the citadel of the village . At the citadel of the castle are kept the relics of a cistern and a temple that dates back to the 11th -12th century or after the 13th century .
