ΡΩΜΑΪΚΌ ΥΔΡΑΓΩΓΕΊΟ
Στα χρόνια της Ρωμαϊκής Εποχής η Ερμιόνη γνωρίζει μεγάλη άνθηση.
Τελειοποιείται το υδραγωγείο (2ο αι. μ.Χ.), το οποίο μετέφερε το νερό σε
διάσπαρτες πελεκητές στο βράχο στέρνες και ύδρευε ολόκληρη την τότε
πολυάριθμη πολιτεία. Απομεινάρια αυτού του υδραγωγείου θα συναντήσει ο
επισκέπτης στην είσοδο της πόλης, στους πρόποδες του λόφου των Μύλων,
μέσα στο αλσύλλιο.
ROMAN AQUEDUCT
During the years of the Roman rule, Ermioni was flourished rapidly. The
construction was completed in the 2nd century BC and the aqueduct used to
carry water to tanks that were scattered and sculpted on the rock and supplied the
populous town of that time with water. There are remnants of this aqueduct at
the entrance of the town, in the foothills of Myli hill, within the grove.
