DIMARCHIOU (TOWN HALL) SQUARE
It used to be the social, administrative and intellectual hub of Corfu during the
Venetian Occupation. Today, it is considered as one of the most beautiful squares
of the Old Town, thanks to the great buildings that surround it! From the Loggia
(arcade) - the place of entertainment of the nobility, which now houses the Town
Hall - and the Catholic Cathedral (San Giacomo) to the residence of the
Latin Archbishop and the branch of the Bank of Greece,
everything has been linked to great chapters of history.
