Or, as the locals call it “the new
bridge”, although its constructed was
completed 26 years ago, in 1993. Today,
the bridge is a modern technological
and architectural work of a length of 694
meters, 215 of which hover in a height of 35,5
meters. The construction of the suspension
bridge facilitated the access to the town, reduced
the traffic in the road as well as the travelling time.
However, the old bridge in the center of the town is
the one that still attracts the attention and impresses
the visitors with its quaintness, view and, of course, the
fact that this is where one can watch the famous moving
waters of the Gulf of Evia!
