THE ACROPOLIS MUSEUM Once the visitors enter the museum, they are awed by the beauty of the space. In the shade of the Acropolis and on the iconic pedestrian street of Dionysiou Areopagitou, which is declared an archeological site, stands majestically the new museum covering 25.000 square meters. Here, you can marvel at the breathtaking Parthenon gallery, findings from the mycenaean, archaic and classical periods, the famous Caryatids, parts of other Acropolis temples (Erechtheion, Propylaea, Temple of Athina Nike), sculptures of attic workshops, and many more. It is a landmark in the capital, praised by Greek and foreign culture enthusiasts. Tip: The museum caférestaurant serves Greek traditional recipes offering the best views in Athens. 9
