POLIDROSSOS: IT LOOKS LIKE A POSRCARD!
Σε ένα από τα ωραιότερα σηµεία του Παρνασσού, σε υψόµετρο 380 µ., και σε κοντινή
απόσταση από το Χιονοδροµικό, η Πολύδροσος (γνωστή ως Σουβάλα) έχει αποκτήσει
τα τελευταία χρόνια αξιόλογες τουριστικές υποδοµές. Κλασικό σηµείο συνάντησης η
πλακόστρωτη κεντρική πλατεία απέναντι από την εκκλησία της Κοίµησης της Θεοτόκου µε
τα πλατάνια, τις rustic ταβέρνες και τα cafés (Κατώι, Πέτρινο, Κεντρικόν). Tip: Ακολουθήστε
-ακόµα και µε τα πόδια, περίπου 20΄- την «αγροτική» διαδροµή για το βυζαντινό µνηµείο της
Αγίας Ελεούσας και την ειδυλλιακή τοποθεσία απ’ όπου αναβλύζουν οι πηγές του βοιωτικού
Κηφισού. Στον δρόµο προς το χιονοδροµικό περάστε από την Άνω Σουβάλα, έναν µικρό
οικισµό-έκπληξη, µε αρχοντικά και επιλογές για παραδοσιακό φαγητό.
In one of the most beautiful parts of the mountain Parnassos, at an altitude of 380m, in
close proximity to the ski center, Polydrossos (known as Souvala) has acquired over the last
years many remarkable tourism infrastructures with carefully prepared guesthouses. The
classic meeting point is the paved central square -the most lively place- opposite to the
Church of the Assumption with its plane trees, its rustic taverns and cafés (Katoi, Petrino,
Kentrikon). Tip: Follow -even by foot, for about 20’- the rural route towards the byzantine
monument of Saint Eleousa and the idyllic location of the springs of the boeotian Kiffissos.
On the way towards the ski center pass by the Ano Souvala, a small surprise-settlement, with
mansions and taverns for traditional food.
